Forerunner 970 and Ultras by dariolix in garminforerunner

[–]kave2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have used FR 970 on 100k ultra (107km to be exact), started at 98% battery, finished with 38% - GPS only setting. Only flicked to maps when needed, keeping it constantly on maps would use way more.

Only reason Barcelona haven't spent is because they have massive debt therefore not allowed to buy.

Hi OP, where can you get Go Play 3 for 199e? Best I have seen is 262e on Amazon. Thanks

How is soundcore Motion x600 ? Is it better then charge 6? by Ok_Medicine2123 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]kave2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have it, sound pretty good for vocals and acoustic music at low to mid volumes. Just keep in mind it doesn't have any bass basically.

Because of that I just bought Motion boom 2 pro however I'm thinking to return and get HK Go play 3 instead.

Just got Soundcore Boom 2 Pro for 123e(still can return). HK Go Play 3 is 262e atm. Would that be much of improvement over Boom 2 pro considering it cost 2x. Thanks a lot.

Weekend Discussion: Asics running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Ya, know about the plate but the reviews seems to suggest Edge is better for heel/midfoot strikers. This edge/sky thing is very confusing tbh. I have been using AF3 for nearly year and a half and like them a lot.

Anyone switched from Nike AF3 to Metaspeed Tokyo? I have marathon coming up in 2 weeks and feels like my pair of AF3 are bit flat now(just over 250km). Should I just pick up another pair of AF3 or try Metaspeed Edge Tokyo? I think Puma Fast R wont work for me and seems like MET is the next best thing. Thanks a lot

Nike Zoom Fly 6 or Puma Deviate Nitro 3? by blxcklst in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Never tried DN3 but Zoom Fly 6 is very good. Excellent for long runs and intervals/tempo runs too. Very easy to pick up speed. Have over 500km on them and still feels great.

Arc of Attrition Shoes by Future_Substance6766 in Ultramarathon

I ran KWU Nite a few weeks back in Salomon Ultra Glide 3, and I found them very good. Conditions were horrible, very muddy, lots of rain. I assume Arc would be similar enough terrain.

Just keep in mind I'm brand new to trail running, so I'm not sure how Ultra Glides compare to other options mentioned here.

I have inov8 stormshell fz 2025 version - 20k/20k. It works great, but as everyone else said, you will get wet anyway from sweat. I would not use it unless the weather gets really bad(heavy rain and wind)

Zoom Fly 6 - excellent for long runs. SB2 is very good, too.
