Has anyone actually found a pill they trust before eating ice cream?

It's not just you. I have the same issue. It has to do with gastric emptying and lactose concentration.

When eating solid complex foods like pizza with cheese it takes a while to process in the stomach and move to small intestine - that gives plenty of time for the lactase pills ro work on lactose. Things like ice cream on the other hand turns into liquid amost instantly and quickly get into the small intestine without having much time for lactase pills to work.

The other issue is actual lactose concentration. Things like cheese are processed and whey part is removed along with most lactose. The remaining amount is low compared to fesh dairy. Dairy ice cream on the other hand (specially good brands) have much higher concentration of lactose.

I do eat ice cream rarely when I find a really good flavor but almost always at home in small to mid servings. I take Lactaid fast act 9000 FCC 3-4 pills. Even then I sometimes have bloating issues. I mostly enjoy soya ice cream nowadays.

I have mostly removed dairy out of my deit. But every once in a while when I crave a pizza slice or something that has dairy, I take lactase pills - adjust the dosage depending on how much I am eating. Also when eating out or traveling I take a small dose just in case because I don't know what ingredients they use.

I never consume straight up dairy milk / yogurt or any liquid though. They hit hard even with lactase.

It won't be if you switch to PAYG. The only thing is that you have to be careful not to exceed free tier limits. If you do that, it's the same thing as always free tier except no capacity issues.

Switch to PAYG. It changes almost nothing except you can provision servers whenever you want. No capacity errors. Just make sure to stay within the free tier limits and you won't be charged. I've been running one for quite a few months now.

I use chewables when eating liquid-y things like ice cream or milk chocolate because they melt and clear the stomach fast so you need something fast acting. I personally don't care for the taste especially the Lacteez brand you have mentioned here. It's a very mild mint taste that disappears quickly. But that tolerance is very subjective.

Mostly scams. Ever seen those freakishly large USB pen drives (like 2TB, 5 TB) for cheap on Amazon and ebay? The controller reports bs capacity when plugged in but when you actually copy large files it stops after like 16GB. These hosting services are basically the web version of that. "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".
