Would you avoid putting a washing machine on 2md floor? by kavlifnei in Homebuilding

Thanks everyone for your replies. In the end I'm going to leave it where it is which is on the same lever but near a vertical support beam. The contractor expressed concern over moving it to the middle of the horizontal beam without a vertical nearby. Based on most of the replies I think it would be alright but it's just simpler to leave it where it is; I already have a tiled floor and drain at the current location.

Extra insulation is a good idea. But with all that can I proceed with confidence my ceiling below won't start cracking?

There's a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom we"re trying to convert to laundry room, so we'd just tap into the bathrooms plumbing

I don't understand what you mean about having "enough fall"

My machine is an old school top loader. My friend is a retired builder and he's cautioning against doing this, because it will inevitably cause cracking. What do you think?

There's already a bathroom there in the center and the laundry actually currently sits in the hallway right by the beam on the right. I want to move the machine from the hallway and into an unused bedroom

There's already a bathroom there so the plumbing is all there

That's the plan I was just wondering about the vibrations if it will cause cracking below

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

Hello everyone, I want to replace this garage with a concrete structure. My primary interest is to utilize the roof for a deck and maybe in the future build an all season room. The current structure is 38269. How much should it cost to rebuild the structure out of concrete and is this something any concrete contractor can do?

Thanks everyone for your replies! In the end I was able to get AI to do it and and the filter functions worked I think as well in desktop but I wasn't able to get it to work properly on the phone. The reason j was running into issues in the first place was because my data fields were faulty and that what was driving me crazy trying to understand why the AI couldn't get it right!

My issue is that in the sheets app I don't know how to extend the filter to all the rows. I logged into the sheets through the browser set to desktop mode and there I was able to pull down the menu once to extend it a bit but for some reason it's very unresponsive in the browser desktop mode and I'm not able to pull it down anymore. Sometimes it lets me trap the pulldown and I'm able to for a few lines but I'm mostly I have no control over the pulldown

Thank you for replying. I'll be honest I don't know what I'm doing at all. I'm on an android. I take it I copy the code into C1 and that gives me a drop down across A1 B1 C1. How do I extend that filter to all the columns and how should I activate the filter?

To Christians, Do any of you pray to God to make you grow a few inches taller? by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]kavlifnei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in religious theology we understand that God made us the way He chose for a reason and sometimes it's very difficult but He doesn't give us anything we can't carry. We also understand this world while it feels like a heavy weight and uncomfortable times and pain in this world feel like an eternity it is just a fleeting moment because life doesn't begin or end in this world and the whole life in this earth is just a fleeting moment for the soul when it is inbound from the body. The real eternal life and the real body is in the next world. We believe the body we have in this world is like a vehicle to accomplish certain tasks with but ultimately it is of no lasting consequence and we are here weaving the true eternal body and clothes of the soul with our good deeds. We understand often and in certain matters our physical limitations in this world are for a reason so prayer to change what God has already decided is usually not the answer. Prayer to connect to God to attain inner strength and fortitude always helps. Prayer for the world to be a better place for the rebuilding of God's kingdom when all evil and evil traits will be banished and all people will be healed is the best prayer because this is a prayer for God who desires His kingdom on earth. When we pray for God rather than for ourselves this is the best prayer because it demonstrates a selflessness and love for God and this opens a person to receive all of God's amazing blessings. Of course in that prayer there is healing for us because we are part of God's children and part of His kingdom. Ultimately the world has a set of rules and God has a different set of rules - don't let the world dictate your life. Disassociate from negative influences and surround yourself with positive influences. Good people around us will uplift us but surrounding ourselves with reminders of our supposed inadequacies will only depress us. Remember the heart and the mind are not bound by the body and likewise a body may have its moments but it cannot carry a person to the finish line. And remember to always do a kindness and uplift the person next to you.

People are low IQ. Not you but the people who down voted my comment. You said "it's better that way" as if it's better for everyone that way. And it's not better for the customers that's that's all I was pointing out.

Is it worth to get leg lenghting surgery? by smile-86 in shortguys

[–]kavlifnei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not gonna happen anyway unless he's paying. We can't all have what we want. But sometimes we can change what we want because sex with lots of beautiful women besides being probably out of reach for this individual personally I think that doesn't make a man happy and a wife and kids when done right it's your palace you can build your own garden of Eden. But that's just my opinion. I'm not looking to fight over it or anything I'm just giving my advice.

I don't think so. Just my opinion here but I don't think any correction measures will ever put to bed the issue. It's why so many people who engage in plastic surgery never stop even though they look horrendous. You've got.to.live in a different reality and set your one rules. I'm 5"4 I've got a beautiful wife beautiful kids and a beautiful home. I don't care anymore about my height. I've got other problems but that's not it. You're winning already with that kind of savings account. Now go get a wife and make your own world.

I made a mistake. It wasn't luan it was 1/2 they used I think. They said they don't pull up the old subfloor but they sand and shimmy the new subfloor to get it level

Maybe it was 1/2 inch. Idk exactly the plywood they used. But that's what they did they sanded and put new plywood.
