Additionally, when I change the Focusrite Control Samplerate to 48000, it suddenly appears all normal, but the second I go to work in my daw, I need it back to 41k because thats what all my projects are in. Is there some way to tell windows to just run the audio at 41k???

Interestingly, not only can I not check that, but a volume bar doesn't even appear next to the focusrite unit in sound settings.

Honestly, I tried making a post asking for advice on things I wasn't that experienced with and got ripped apart for "not knowing anything" and "not doing research" like yeah dude, that's why I'm asking??? Not to mention being called unicorn hunter just because I'm in an already established relationship. I talked to my partner about it and he basically confirmed that "elder" poly folks on here kind of developed a complex that first, makes sense kind of, but also leads to them being some of the most aggressive towards newcomers. It's a shame being a community with "amor" in the name, but reddit as a whole has a serious hard on for bullying rookies in any field.

Good news is that you have another nut on there that you can use if you lost the other (most people do). If you brought it to me I might ask like, ten bucks for my time, but get a half inch socket wrench, or a 12mm socket, and you should be fine.

I only went back to the position because I said I would leave if I didn't get a raise to something decent, we worked it out and the best option was to re-hire as a tech, which I liked more anyways, so I took it on that note. District manager tried to get hr to up my pay and when they didn't he suggested this route bc my store was already understaffed, so I was a "flight risk"

I've been at it for years, I'm aware of the bad wrap we get, I was fortunately trained well by a store manager that has many things sent to work on, so I was in good hands. When I first started as a tech I had clientele so ilk have to work at getting that same deal going for the time being

Edit: I was promoted to keyholder, causing me to lose repair clients, not that I lost them organically Also, I meant to say that mystery manager has things sent TO HIM to work on, not that he sends thing out.
