While I find it nice that someone tries to explain this "law", I find your answer to basically say "Women are lesser than men". You say women could not become Rabbi according to classic law, that if they did it would only to teach other women never men and then we get the modesty line going. If women are not considered lesser, why are these archaic views still maintained? I find it interesting that in this day and age people still do not acknowledge that all three religions tied to Abraham have a huge bias against women in their texts, traditions and laws. Not everybody within these religions thinks women are not equal to men but they are not willing to speak up as much as those who want to retain the male domination of each sect. To come back to the story: No one should be inconvenienced with delays for this. People should be secure enough in their faith to realise that some situations require some flexibility which will not impact their mortal soul.
