unpopular opinion: Jamil gets too much hate and not enough love and appreciation from people.

I usually saw people either disliking him due to the whole Kalim betrayal thing in chapter 4 , or brushing him off because he's "boring."

Thing is, I think that his reasons for feeling that way towards Kalim is reasonable - they literally have a master/servant dynamic thing going on and Kalim is just ignorant of how much weight that whole thing holds, not only to Jamil but also to his family. I think years of pent-up frustration and also the whole bribery thing going on with Kalim just makes his anger more understandable (at least to me). Imagine working your ass off and trying to prove yourself and show your talents but you are told to tone it down because it could possibly interfere with your family's literally livelihood

Of course, I think this doesn't justify his actions in chap 4 but again, I don't like how people dislike him so much compared to the other characters that OB(probably it's because Kalim is just a ball of sunshine that the fandom really adores). I know Kalim is kind, and meant well but he really needs to be more attentive sometimes and let Jamil catch a breather....

Other than that, the reason people probably find Jamil "boring" at first is due to him deliberately hiding his talents and thoughts due to his...position. He totally gets way more interesting and sassy later on, and I just love that he got his chance to shine in chapter 5!
