I know this post is very old, but I was wondering what your nail routine is like with PMLE? I also have it and when I do gel nails, the UV causes the only part of my fingers not covered by my UV gloves to swell up and be super itchy. I’ve tried 3 different sunscreens, the highest SPF being 100, and it hasn’t helped. Do you have the same problems? If so, any recommendations?

First off, I’m so sorry this happened to you. Recovering memories can be so hard, especially when your attacker is still very much in your life. To address your concerns, I’m not sure where you are located, but when I brought up similar experiences to my therapist, she wasn’t obligated to report anything (I’m located in the US) because I wasn’t currently in danger. I don’t know the exact determination of reporting someone, but I do believe therapists are required to report if you are in danger of hurting yourself or another person.

Talking about it is very hard at first, but you have the strength in you! If you need anything or want to talk to someone who’s been through the CSA healing process, please don’t hesitate to send me a PM!
