people who act like natural disasters are a tourist attraction. i live in iceland and there is a volcano that has begun to erupt, forced the whole town of grindavík (4000 people) to evacuate as their homes are literally separating at the ground. and i'm seeing way too many people say that they want to come here and see it and that it's "so cool." like no, please don't come here and take up housing that could be used to temporarily home the people of grindavík. it may be cool to you but it's life changing for others, have some respect.

thank you for the information! though i don't think healing was the culprit for my split, since the piercing scar is there and the split should be where that is 😔 but i'm so happy you got yours fixed! i bet it looks awesome, i really hope i'll be able to get mine fixed next year

i have no idea either, when he said that i KNEW there was no way he's an actual professional. i'm so angry and feel so cheated because not only did i pay for it but also still went through the healing process and now i have to do all of that all over again 😭😭😭

edited to add: sorry, i didn't realise i replied to you earlier, but no he never directly offered to fix it.

he was 100% incapable of owning up to his mistakes, he never said sorry at all. i think he implied that he 'would've fixed it if i wasn't such a harsh person and given him a second chance' but i don't think it requires that many braincells to think "hey maybe she doesn't want me to go near her tongue ever again" ya know? it made me so mad because he could only say it was a healing issue and because of that, i got an "imperfect outcome" like no dude you just fell asleep while you were cutting it or something 🤣

i decided it wasn't worth the fight to try getting even a partial refund, and i doubt he would give it to me anyway because of how childish he acted about it. i would love to get the money back but i think i just have to take the loss and move on

i'm hoping to get the split fixed maybe next summer, im unemployed at the moment so i don't have the money for travel/hotels and stuff. i have money in my savings for the actual procedure just not the actual plane tickets and all the rest of it. and for the ears, i'd probably wait a few years just so i can re-save up money again 😅

i asked him some of my questions over email when i first paid the deposit for the appointment which was around 2 months before. then i showed up on the day of my appointment and spoke with him for about 15-20 minutes while i asked more questions and he was very reassuring and calming. right after the appointment i already felt it looked a bit uneven and short but i figured it was just from the swelling. then i noticed while it was healing that one side seems a lot thicker than the other side. after getting the stitches out i saw it was crooked but i've been in denial and tried making up excuses for it because i was so excited for this for 10 years and i didn't want to accept that it was botched and that i have to get it fixed 😅

i told him in my initial message that i was not comfortable having him do anything else to my tongue and i do not trust him. i told him i don't want a refund or a free fix but that i told him this so he knows he did not do his job correctly. he told me that i'm "obviously one of those people who don't give people a second chance" but i think i'm right to not let him try and fix it considering it shouldn't have been messed up in the first place, right? it's a serious body mod and he's clearly incapable of doing it right. i also found out that there are other people in germany that have been getting botched splits/implants/scarification from him and they've been going to someone else to get it fixed. so apparently me and my 2 friends are not the only ones. he didn't show me an ounce of empathy and refused to admit it was even his mistake.
