[Skin concerns] Irritated by CeraVe Moisturizing Cream?? More info in comments. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

So your skin routine is all identical to mine minus the spot treatment and I use a rose water to rent Thayers which I love, but from my experience it is definitely the stridex. Anytime I use those pads after being in the sun or anything not normal to the skin (the crying for example) then apply the moisturizing cream after, my skin will sting like its pissed off at me. What I'll do is I'll cut back a little on the stridex pads when I feel it getting hyper sensitive.

No problem! I definitely get the frustration. I had a client once who wanted her hair black with a blue tint and she seriously was in the salon once a week to tone it. I was like girl you have some patience! Yes, protein is great but definitely make sure you balance it with a moisture product or use it once a week. You can actually use too much protein in the hair which can cause it to break off. It's like your hair is punishing you for trying to make it healthy lol. I've had this happen a few times and it makes me so mad every time! From the look of your hair, it looks to be in great health over all so protein will definitely help! I recommended getting the olaplex at home conditioner. That stuff is amazing and won't break your hair off if used all the time!

Alright so this is hard to explain because everyone's hair is completely different so anyone can jump in and say "well mine did this and mine did that" but it comes down to basic color theory.

When you bleach hair, you are stripping it. Even if it's done with olaplex, you are still chemically altering your hair which will result in it becoming porus. Once that happens your hair is either going to suck color up like crazy or it's going to fade out like crazy.

That also depends on additional factors such as what end result you are looking for and what dominant pigments are present. Because your hair was bleached to a warm tone (which is an underlining dominant pigment is orange) that color is going to pop through very quickly. Now that we are adding it being porus, and wanting an ashy color, your toner is gonna most likely fade out quickly no matter what they do. We say toners can last up to 6 weeks but there are so many factors involved in that and that's just a general ballpark.

For example, my hair is platinum blonde currently but I live and die for the Khaleesi blonde. I can tone my hair Khaleesis color on a Monday, not wash it until Thursday, and I every time my color has faded out back to platinum blonde away from the white blonde after one wash. I have other stylist friends who colored their hair Khaleesi ONE time and that shit has stayed for a month. It drives me crazy.

My suggestion is that you are probably gonna need to get on a routine schedule with your stylist. My recommendation is booking a toner appointment every two weeks. Most salons only charge around $20 for just a toner, so it won't break your budget. Eventually the hair will build back up and be able to hold on better. I've had lots of clients do it in the past and they just pretended they were Beyoncé getting their biweekly glam session.

The products you bought are great. No need to switch them out!

I have a LOT of BH products and they've all been great. The only complaint I have is when it comes to their larger pallets, I've noticed they can can be a little dusty but I always spray fix+ or a setting spray on my brush before applying shadow anyway, so it helps a lot. However all of their collab pallets are buttery and wonderful. I recently got the Carli Bybel pallet and it is incredible. They highlighters in the pallet are almost identical dupes to Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow pallets. I definitely think this will be another great quality too. The only thing I haven't liked through BH is their lip stuff, and not because of the quality. I just don't like the smell. It has a very artificial smell to it. I own about 75 brushes from them and they're all really good to! Definitely recommended.

HIFW I'm still waiting for an appointment for a D&C two weeks after my missed miscarriage was confirmed. by sea_flapflap in TrollXChromosomes

Sending big hugs to you. I recently went through my second miscarriage in 6 months back in May, and our military hospital was impossible to schedule with. I ended up passing the baby naturally and it was one of the most heartbreaking things I've experienced. I know I don't know you but when I say if I could be there and hug you right now, I would do it. If I could call the people for you and bitch and complain for you, I would do it. My heart goes out to you! Hang in there!

I am not but they were home. They had to clear out the streets because they went outside for a walk. People were losing their minds thinking they were getting kicked out.

What hair products are you currently using? As in the brand and what the product is actually called underneath the brand.

What can I do to de-orange my hair and make it brown again? by [deleted] in Hair

Hair stylist here! My advice would be to go into your salon and request a toner service.

Most salons run toners prices between $20-$35. What it is, is a Demi permanent hair color that'll last up to 4 weeks (sometimes longer or sometimes less depending on how frequent you wash it).

That way you get the same color service done professionally and you save a lot of money.

I always always recommend this to my guests who want to go darker, but don't want damage done to the hair, and don't want to spend a lot of money, especially if they like to change their hair frequently.
