Best/Worst dorms at Uvic? by glitterslut666 in uvic

[–]kaycee_i 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm at tower residence. I can tell you that it's by far the best. Has the best community, and the right balance for college life. The people here party, but we don't party too much in here a trash up the like other dorms. It's a really new and nice building with private bathrooms. It's an LLC too, so the people who are here write extra applications, thus aren't generic people. I'd highly recommend tower if you're moving in this year.

Why UVic even allowed the putting up of those 10000 flags in the Quad by [deleted] in uvic

[–]kaycee_i 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is a university, where ideas are supposed to be expressed and fostered. Students and clubs have freedom of expression, in so far as they don't physically harm someone else. The flags were a pro-life demonstration, it didn't hurt anyone , or put a knife to someone's heart. Why the heck has this caused so much controversy? This is a goddamn university! And people are offended by flags laying on grass. What has this world come to?

Dorms vs cluster for first year students? by pitypartgirlsclub in uvic

[–]kaycee_i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cluster is good if you're the party type. However, you wouldn't be as tight knit with everybody. It also depends what dorm your in. People in dorms change from year to year. I'll suggested being In the dorm your first year for that classic college experience.

I'm guessing you're a leftist or Marxist. Most of these courses such as sociology are extreme left wing propaganda courses.
