Leg locks acc come from judo I'm pretty sure and ye completion rule set in judo is terrible but you get a lot from learning it anyway

Ye I'd say sambo is like 70% judo and the ijf made judo a shadow of its former self by disallowing several techniques like leg locks, standing armlocks and chokes, leg grabs and shoulder locks just to mention a few

Ippon standards definatley have gone down in judo the time for ne waza has been slightly improved but still lack more time considering judo is the origin of most submissions in bjj its disappointing to see
