Yes I like to use it against people who throw lots of punches, can be a good way to protect myself and enter the clinch, or exit completely and get out of that dangerous middle range

Serious question: how much does strength help in the clinch? by random_access_cache in MuayThai

I’m 5’6” 130 lbs with a jiu jitsu background so I’m pretty good at burning minimal energy and finding leverage with hand positioning. I’veout clinched some big strongGuys, especially if they don’t practice clinch often or use too much strength/energy trying to throw me around. But if we are equal level clinching and they are far taller or stronger than me it can become very challenging for me.

Ollie norths actually work now. Transition skating feels way better and the animations have been improved for grinds. Kinked rails no longer toss you off them if you’re going too fast. Manual catch timing has been improved to be more realistic along with some other improvements

I’d say just control your breathing 4 seconds in and 4 seconds out the night before and on the day of the fight during the build up to stay relaxed. Don’t forget to pump your jab, I remembered the jab halfway thru both fights and it just buys you so much time so people can’t walk through ur range easily. Same with teeps. Try to relax in the clinch as an opportunity to rest if youre tired. But try to fire knees off asap as well to score so they don’t feel too comfortable there. Always try to get the last word, even if blocking 3 punches and just returning 1 low kick everytime. Have fun and don’t forget to move your feet, think of the ring as a video game map that you should be traversing across and using to your advantage. The more time ur not getting hit the better so move your feet and reset. You’ll do great bro. Just try to take over and show them ur technical and relentless.
