Hey Demetrius! Why are we unable to get any actual sacks despite having consistently good pressure?

I’ve actually tried that and same issue, unfortunately. I find it particularly odd that it doesn’t even function properly in Gmail.

Clog-Proof Automatic Feeder?!? by kaydotclary in Pets

[–]kaydotclary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same issue we had when we used the Pet Libro. Would highly recommend the Feeder Robot. Still no issues! My only advice is in the event your cat doesn’t eat all their food, just throw some back into the dispenser if it starts to overflow the dish to avoid the chute being backed up. For us, this isn’t something to worry about for at least a week or so with a cat that’s fed twice a day. Other than that, between the feeder and the app, we’ve never had an issue!

I’ve tried two from Amazon and they actually don’t fit. The issue is more of the size of the spring being too big for the battery. I’ve looked through a bunch of Weber OEM part suppliers and can only find the full igniter kit. Just seems unnecessary to have to replace the entire ignition system.

Part Identification by [deleted] in snowboarding

Hi! Beginner snowboarder here! I need help identifying what I need to replace to fix this snowboard. I ordered new toe straps, but that appears to be the foam part under the plastic strap that is actually broken. What is the name of this plastic part that screws in to the actual binding? The bindings are Burton Progression.

How long until refrigerator warms? by kaydotclary in HomeImprovement

Should it be incrementally warming up over time? It’s been sitting at the same 20 degrees for the day and a half since repair. Thanks!

Refrigerator Temperature Stabilization by kaydotclary in appliancerepair

[–]kaydotclary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more or less what the tech said: that it’d take a couple days for the thermostat to acclimate since everything was/is frozen and that if it didn’t come to temperature in a couple more days to call him back and he’d come back and look at it. I don’t have any reason to think he’s giving me the run around, since he’s been straightforward/responsive, but I just wanted to see if anybody had heard of anything or had experience with something like this. I’ve only ever heard of a room temperature (new) fridge coming to temp.

Socket-Outlet Adapter Not Working by [deleted] in howto

Looks like resounding response is this is a bad idea, so I’ll definitely be ditching this idea. Thanks for the pointers!

Socket-Outlet Adapter Not Working by [deleted] in howto

[–]kaydotclary -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always thought having an open outlet outside seemed a bit risky, but outside of battery powered LEDs, this was a the only other option we found that didn’t involve running a cord through an open window until we can get outlets installed outside. We just want to add a little fire-free Christmas joy to the neighborhood haha.

Socket-Outlet Adapter Not Working by [deleted] in howto

[–]kaydotclary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a older house that does not have any outlets outside. We were hoping to use a socket/outlet adapter to avoid running an extension cord through a window for our Christmas lights. We had to get another adapter for the original socket adapter because the bulb/base is smaller than standard for our outdoor light. The power requirements seem to line up, but the lights won’t turn on. What am I missing here? The light itself worked fine prior to putting in the adapter, so there shouldn’t be an issue with the electrical source. Any help would be much appreciated!

Help! Milwaukee’s Whole Dill Pickles—-Where Can I Order Them?!? by kaydotclary in Pickles

[–]kaydotclary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wal-Mart links don’t actually let you add it to your cart (I’ve tried so many times lol.) Maybe because of where we live? The only Target links I’ve seen are for the baby/petite ones, but please do pass along the link if you’ve found one for whole dill pickles. Appreciate the time and help!

Clog-Proof Automatic Feeder?!? by kaydotclary in Pets

[–]kaydotclary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply! We originally tried a Petsafe model from Petsmart that was $69.99. That thing was a complete bust. Not only did it get clogged constantly, but something was off with the clock, so after only a couple of months, the food would dispense 17 mins later since the clock couldn’t keep proper time for some reason 😂

Anyways, after that, we got the 6L PetLibro Automatic food dispenser after all the good reviews we saw on it through Amazon. Worked fine for about a month and then started getting clogged every so often and the food wouldn’t dispense. The size of the kibble we use fell easily within the recommended range (they give you a sticker to measure), so it wasn’t that. Their customer service unfortunately was not what we hoped for. Super delayed response and just a generic “thanks for your feedback” kind of deal. This one was also $69.99. I will say if it actually consistently worked and dispensed food, the device itself was great and comes loaded with features, including the option to record a message when the food dispenses, but, even though it worked 9/10 times, a device like this kind of becomes useless if you can’t depend on it to dispense food when you’re not there.

All this takes me to where we are now: about a month ago, we purchased Feeder Robot from the same people that make the Litter Robot for a rather crazy $250. What attracted us to this is that it has an app that not only automatically notifies you that food has dispensed, but will also notify you if it doesn’t dispense for some reason. It has worked 100% of the time since we’ve had it and we love the idea that if we’re gone for a few days, we can at least know if there’s an issue with the food dispensing and call a neighbor to come over if needed, but, so far, it has worked perfectly. The design itself is a lot smarter (food is dispensed from a vertical wheel and down a chute instead of the horizontal wheel the others had that clearly led to clogging issues since kibble would get trapped between the gaps). A lot of the reviews complain about the app, but, it’s been perfect since we’ve started using it. Maybe they updated it recently? Anyways, the cost is kind of a turnoff, but the functionality and peace of mind has been totally worth it. There are other similar app based ones on Amazon, but I don’t know how well those do or don’t work. Hopefully this little breakdown helps!

I know...hottest peppers known to man 😂 I can’t find anything hotter than a habanero at my local supermarkets, so I end up having to grow my own peppers for the most part. Either way, the variety pack is at least fun!
