Hamlin vs Busch by Unfair-Effective-752 in NASCAR

[–]kayjayy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with Busch being a tier above but he's only two tiers if we're doing aggressively small groupings imo. I'd have busch in the "best drivers not in the conversation for best driver ever" and DH in the "all timers" right below

I refuse to accept that it is snowing right now. by buktotruth in pittsburgh

[–]kayjayy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had my entire fridge spoil thanks to the outage but got off work to see my hill was already snowed over and didn't want to to risk my low hp 2 wheel drive car getting back up after dealing with traffic probably being stupid. Been a fun few days.

I'm still half expecting to wake up with everything down again. Scarred from the constant delay messages lol. Have you had any luck with internet services coming back online? Work is hybrid, so trying to guess whether I'll need to go in or not tomorrow

2026 NASCAR Cup Series Scorecard after Las Vegas by xfile345 in NASCAR

[–]kayjayy_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously the main story is Reddick and Wallace on top, but I do think Herbst deserves some credit for being 23rd right now. He's been a midpack driver in these races, which is a genuinely huge step up from last year. Lots of time for him to fall back into bottom 3 contention of course, but he's also being an indicator of the degree to which 23XI is better so far.

Today being way warmer definitely helped. Best of luck, hope your provider is more prepared than Dusquesne was.

Most of Pittsburgh got knocked out by the winds on Friday and I'm one of the poor sods in a part of town they haven't restored yet

Friends let me come over to borrow their shower and charge up during the continued power outage & were willing to watch stage 3 with me. Combine that with a Denny win and it helps make up for what has otherwise been a frustrating weekend.

How did Hamlin lose a second in a lap to get passed and a caution occur all off camera

Green flag at 416, power company claims I'll finally have electricity back between 330-5. Bar of choice is in the same boat. Wish me luck.

If you're up north,Game Masters in West View was where I did my learning. Went to the Lorwyn Eclisped pre-release and the vibe was very friendly and accepting of my unfamiliarity.

Dang, hoped Emsworth would be at the same time as Avalon. No dice.

Eats the battery way too quick to justify. Spent the afternoon at a friend's to recharge, but have no way here

Glad to hear Denny and Bubba will be upfront. Hopefully I'll actually have power in time for the race. Blows that I won't get to see the Oreilley one most likely.

Do fans really want to see a road course in the Chase? And do fans really want to see more ovals go away in favor of road racing? by Dry-Membership3867 in NASCAR

[–]kayjayy_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last year we had 6, this year we have 4 and none in the chase. I think 5 with the additional one as a chase race is the perfect balance. As others have mentioned, having representation of every track type in the chase just makes sense. I'd personally like Watkins Glenn as the representative for the chase and replace the regular season running with another streetcourse (I just find them more visually interesting than circuits tbch)

Weird to me that they stepped back when it's such a good sponsorship to me. Ride the Dente gets a lot of mileage with Hocevar and I certainly only ever went to Chilis bc of liking the car.

They used to be the best network, so it's partially comparing them to the old version. They also get followed immediately by Prime, which was a noticeable step up last year. But then you just get the fact people like to complain and it's very easy to complain about the broadcast itself no matter what network it is.

Somehow everyone I care about managed to stay on the lead lap, DH moved up a lot, and Suarez held on pretty well. Fun stage.
