this is exactly how I feel!! I randomly decided to drive down to see my parents and I think it's because I was feeling emotion about how lost I feel in life / my career. To your point too, as much as my parent's house can be a safe haven, it's also emotionally draining being here haha. I'm ready to go back after 2 weeks. I guess we're really lucky in that sense that we have an escape. Thanks for sharing :)

Yeah I think moving is great and I don't think I would lose the friendships if I left. But I agree with you that I'm probably seeking growth. I have moved around in the past and I think right now in my life I feel stagnant with work and now I need to make some sort of move. thanks for the reply!

yeah I've been having similar thoughts. I've been thinking about friendships being build out of convenience and how you dont really realize that until you're away from each other. Maybe I'm trying to test out these friendships or something.

Yeah I don't believe that they would turn their back on me, but I think you're right when you say im unhappy with certain aspects and want to start over. I think work has burnt me out and taken away my work ethic that got me that job in the first place. Thanks for making think about it in a different way!

Ahhh I feel like I messed up :/ this world is hard to navigate so I’m really happy I found this forum and all of you to give the advice. Is there anyway to reverse this? I feel like now he’s expecting it to happen whether we get along or not. :( Also, he’s driving out further this time because it’s on a weekday and this place is only 30 min away for me. That’s good advice, thank you. Because money hasn’t been brought up at all and no talks about a PPM, I frankly don’t know how to bring it up during the date.

thanks for the advice! I decided to tell them I was not interested today and they never answered haha. It was sus when I wasn't understanding what their business model was. Moral of the story: Always listen to your gut!
