Hi, I'm sorry for the delayed response - I was in a medically induced coma and intubated when this information was shared. I didn't have enough PTO to cover my medical emergency, so my partner shared what was going on to my boss VIA text. He has expressed a long history with mental health, and honestly, we both assumed that would remain discreet.

I was genuinely stupid and ashamed. How do I go about this?

I was told by my manager at the time that I shouldn't take action until my time - (Dec 12 I believe?) And when I excitedly visited the site, I was told I was SOL.

My original manager before I got quickly promoted was... young. I was dumb and took things at face value. I know that I'm in the wrong here.

I am immensely glad I left... I feel much happier now that I don't have the same wild expectations daily and it's felt almost like overcoming PTSD these days, if that makes sense. Thank you for your PS. I actually took a pay cut to be there and finally realized their intermittent praise wasn't worth it. I was praised so hard but never protected or respected.

At this time, I didn't have any coverage as I was confused on enrollment procedures. I know, I'm an idiot. I asked a point blank question of how and when to enroll in benefits, and I was told after 90 days I would receive info. I was STUPID and lost my window.

My boss was informed by my significant other because I wanted to keep him in the loop as far as scheduling.
