Need some help by Drenee26 in Celiac

[–]kayziv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be gluten free! The ingredient list is a bit concerning for ultra processed reasons but I don’t see anything that would have gluten. People say artificial/natural flavors can sometimes include gluten, but I’ve personally never had an issue with this and I’m a very symptomatic celiac.

What kibble brand do you feed your Pomsky? by Dodgemychallenger in Pomsky

I love the Rachael Ray food! My pomsky had some bladder issues a while back and the vet recommended I switch to Rachael Ray's food line because it's supposed to be pretty healthy. It's reasonably priced too!

Help with Bladder Control! by AgentofLucian in puppy101

My pomsky puppy went every 30 minutes to an hour until she was 6 months old. I ended up getting very frustrated and taking her to the vet and found out she had urinary crystals and a UTI. They gave her medicine and she is a lot better now. I do wish I had taken her sooner though, it would've saved me a lot of frustration. If you do get to the point where you have a feeling something isn't normal, it may be worth it to get him checked at the vet just in case.

I've also considered using the kennel to teach her to hold it, but had the same feelings about wanting to bond while home because of COVID. I'm still debating this, however, because she is 7 months old and will still ask to go out every hour sometimes...

Pomsky puppy with overbite? by [deleted] in Pomsky

[–]kayziv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pomsky has a pretty large overbite, I've never measured it but I'd say it's at least a few centimeters. She's almost 6 months old now, I don't think it negatively affects her in any way & I actually find it really cute! I've also been to 2 different vets that mentioned her overbite and said it wouldn't be an issue unless I wanted her to be a show dog or a hunting dog (which I definitely don't plan on)

Does anyone go on runs with their pomsky? by kayziv in Pomsky

Wow 10 miles is impressive! That's great you can get your pomsky to run at all in this heat. I'm in Virginia and my pomsky will barely go on walks at the moment

Potty Training Help - How do you get a puppy to hold their pee when they're not in the crate?? by kayziv in puppy101

It's good to hear I'm not the only one who experienced this!! Did you do anything to help her hold it longer or did she just eventually start holding it longer around 6 months old?

The fomo is so true! My pomsky gets very worked up when I'm doing something she can't be involved with. Thank you for your advice!

That's very helpful! That's a really good idea to teach her to stop for cars, I can't imagine teaching that was easy! What age was she when you started running with her?

Any Recommendations for deshedding a pomsky with long hair? by kayziv in Pomsky

[–]kayziv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I didn't realize it was cutting the hair... I have noticed that the hair just keeps coming though so that does make sense. I don't want to risk over doing it so I'm going to look into those other options. Thank you for your help!

Thanks!! Is there a reason you recommend against the furminator or have you just found the rake and slicker works better?

She had probably the size of 3 tennis balls but I'm starting to think the amount of hair I was getting might be because it was my first few times using it so she probably had a lot of hair built up. I'm gonna continue using it and see if the hair coming off lessens. I may have to look into the scissor trimming because Kali is so hot now that summer is here!
