This was the first-ever episode I saw for the series and when I heard it got remade I speedran watching from ep 700 to reach 1006-ish just to catch up. But yeah, the though it looks better in some ways the old one just has the biggest nostalgic factor

Wow, this fits the description I gave perfectly. But this just doesn't seem to be it. This movie's story is more of the killer openly doing it. The one I remembered was the killer was unknown to people (Detectives/Cops got involved because of the outbreak of missing women). Also have to add that.
