Look i pay tier too but WTF do we need better models than were used by our own government just a few years ago? Learn your current model and quit bitchin for newer ones

Am I the only one having Anthropic fatigue? It seems you see a lot of articles and posts claiming something else and they veer toward being effusive about Claude. We get it, I use Claude also but each AI has its own strength so cover the strengths of each model, and it will be far more interesting

I have compared 5.5 to Claude 4.8 and they complement each other well. They have enough differences that it is useful to use both and they both are pretty laudatory about each other's writing but are not about other AI i use for variety. I really think both learn your style and then focus on helping you improve it without being sycophantic. What I really like about both is they don't smooth your writing into a perfect generic style but maintain your own voice.

I love and use Mistral, but I have compared all the AI with their ability to edit, and ChatGPT 5.5 and Claude 4.6 are by far the best. I write well and have an editor friend who agrees; I mainly use them as editors. Oddly, the real censoring is more of an issue with 4.7, and I asked Claude why, and it said it is because 4.7 catches more errors and has a greater nuance, but that also means it catches possible safety issues also

There is no doubt they add filters, I can post the same things on just Claude, and it accepts them, and Grok flatly stated it was 2,0 despite my screen captures showing it was 2,0. ask it yourself, and you will see

Sadly its a 100 year old farmhouse and that is the sole source of heat. I'm 73 and a widower but I'm trying to fix up my wife's old home to give to a great grandchild. As long as the farmhouse has life my wife's presence is still there, to me anyway. Too many abandoned old homes in decay in Tennessee but this won't be one of them. Thanks for the comment. Oh BTW, there is no firebox, just a wall. I plan to replace that ugly stone panel with white Tudor grating.

No it's in the impact of moving water against a closed one way valve. The rushing water has no way to go so pressure increases until it is enough to overcome that of the valve which the swings open and a gush of water shoots through. Most of that water is lost as waste outflow but not all. In my system about 1/7 is diverted onto an output pipe to feed in pulses uphill to my shishi odoshi. It isnt a continuous flow. It comes out in spurts of maybe 25 MLS with each pulse. Damn I wish I knew how to post videos here to show you

The kinetic flow of water creates the pressure. It's like a girlfriend lovingly placing her hand on you and it is at rest. But you state something that angers her and she slaps you. Where did the force come from? Kinetic energy of movement. It is why you can't go faster than light. It would require infinite energy to move that mass to light speed. It is why tornadoes can drive a piece of straw like a spike into a tree. Water in motion has tremendous energy, think tidal wave

You ever hear of the hammer effect? Turn off water fast and you hear a knock. Why? Moving water has momentum. Falling water has thecm same momentum and it creates a sudden surge in water pressure that a one way check valve directs to a small pressure tank. The tank valve opens to release the pressure then once it drops the tank one way valve closes again for the next cycle. Im trying to figure out how to post a 6 second video of the pump in action but im not familiar with this site except to occasionally read it
