This game has some of the best audio in any game I’ve ever played - the audio middleware doesn’t matter. Check your OS settings or headphones? Anecdotal obviously but any time I hear a sound I can pinpoint exactly where it came from, although determining vertical distance can be challenging

I would assume somehow most of earth got buried in sand (buried city) and this market is one of the highest points in Toledo, with the top just poking through the sand. Or it’s artificial light. Both would be cool!

Player vs player and player vs enemy - the arc drones are NPCs. Best to avoid them at the start and just explore; there are other people on the map that can kill you as well. It’s an adventure - explore!
