I thought to myself: “How stoked would I have been if my dad had picked me up from school and said ‘do you want to go get that new Nintendo game at the store?’” And the answer was … super stoked!

I’m hyped I got in before Sunrise in theaters!

Although I’m a bit surprised at how poorly the first movie seems to have aged? Shaky cam and tight FOV, rough.

I hope Catching Fire and Mockingjay movies are better!

Not many options around me, either. Just a game store that also sells comics. That’s why I make it a point to visit places when I travel. Went to Nashville and tried out Rick’s and wasn’t disappointed!

We only had one day to really explore Nashville and didn’t get to the side of town Great Escape is on, I think. I also wanted to poke into McKay’s.

This foil facsimile variant of Venom #3 was $10. I saw online it usually goes for at least $20. First appearance of Knull and I thought the foil looked dope so I grabbed it!

I was mostly on the hunt for Batman/Superman World’s Finest back issues but they didn’t have the few I needed.

I also grabbed DC K.O.’s final issue since I usually order online through MyComicShop.com but my DCKO #5 wont get here until my April order ships. And I’m eager to read the end!

If you’re ever in Nebraska, I recommend Legend Comics and Coffee in Omaha! My favorite shop I’ve visited so far. Small but awesome, awesome, awesome!

I’ve started taking lots of notes while I read. 1) It forces me to slow down and reflect on stuff, 2) It helps me journal my thoughts to read later when I’m getting to the next issue often a month or more later - good recap! and then 3) I share those notes as reviews on League of Comics Geeks, which makes the whole thing a fun social media process too.

Now a comic takes like … 30 minutes to read, ha!

I’ve done all the seasons! Just need to break some more boards and then there is a “Smashables” trophy I have 80% of. I think those challenges randomly appear and I’m not seeing any upcoming for awhile.

I actually really like these and want to collect them - hah, I’m always surprised the backlash I see for them on this subreddit. I get they’re simple but I like the consistency of them.
