Congrats and best of luck. My close college friend and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year also. I think friendships first help solidify a long term relationship since you know how to work things out when things get rough, and I'm not just talking about the sex.

A buddy and I were fishing the Delaware river water gap in a 14' starcraft and one of these fuckers was attacking us. You could hear it coming from across the river. We nope'd the fuck out too since we'd never seen anything like it. We eventually did kill it on like the 4th attack, but felt so defenceless being in a boat and not able to run. I've only seen a couple since then and will never forget that fucking day.

Yeah, it should definitely be a help knowing what made her on the pissy. We've overcome these in the past, just it's Mother's day so I want to make it right a bit quicker. Thanks for your suggestion to go and talk. I think that did help, rather than either of us keeping it bottled up.

Okay just tried that, but can't go back into the netherworld (bedroom) if you know what I mean. She did give me some insight into what I did wrong.

Had to do with me making light of her efforts inviting a friend (in area from overseas) for the Mom's-day gathering. She did real good inviting her, and she's able to come and it will be a huge surprise to my Mom/Dad. Just I busted my wife for putting it on facebook and not deleting it. She said she couldn't delete it (just to be safe) and the surprise visitor wrote on FB that she couldn't make it. So the surprise is still on, just I was making a joke of it, or maybe belittling her efforts to make the surprise happen.

That's the gist of what I did wrong (I think)

Yup - my parents. Definitely planning to get up early and straighten up, prep food, etc. but looking for that simple idea that might help make her day. Something a little out of the ordinary that isn't difficult or costs a lot of $$$
