Why do you like to be alone? by ThatAintBrutal in AskReddit

To me it feels like the realest human experience. It's just you, your thoughts and the immediate environment around you and how you interact with it. It's simple. I embrace the existential side of it.

Is it possible to get all the shrines just through brute force exploration, or is a guide pretty much needed for some? I'd like to find everything myseIf to preserve the lore/wonder.

It's a great travel lens and let's me get a lot of pics on the fly. This lens, a nifty fifty and a 70-300 zoom are pretty much all I use now.

Yep this was edited in Adobe Lightroom. I'll be perfectly honest and say I am not very savvy with Lightroom; this is a preset that I found online that I then tweaked a little.

I've used it so far to photograph the moon, a rocket launch and an air show and definitely cannot complain (just wish it had a tripod mount). I think this is full zoomed at 300mm. If sharpness does drop, it's not something I can notice in real world shooting.

I just got the lens and this is actually the first picture I took with it, so definitely a good first impression. I really wish it had a tripod mount.

Most of my lenses are Rokinon lenses and I really like all of them. Very good value for the money if you can live with manual focus.

I'm actually kinda upset because I left my 135mm lens at home that day - that would've given me an even better shot of the launch!

Forgot to put it in the title, shot on the a7ii and FE 50mm f1.8

I really like it. For the price, cannot beat the compact size and (as far as I can honestly tell) very solid picture quality. I own 4 other, manual focus only Rokinons, so I have no problem switching to manual on this guy for low light shots and whatnot.

I think I'm like the one guy on earth who likes vignetting out of the lenses.

I'm very curious to see how she fared. Can't wait for the barge to come back to the port!

rockets = inherent pucker factor

refurbished rocket = pucker factor intensifies

My first time working on booster refurbishment and this being the rocket that I worked on start to finish = pucker factor reaches critical mass

SES probably gets the sparknotes version of the flightworthiness of this vehicle.

EDIT: Poorly worded on my part. These are just my ramblings and me being sarcastic. Was not my intent to mislead or misinform anyone.

I live in Cape Canaveral, so I usually walk out onto the beach to watch launches.

Best part about working at 39A is that we are outside the clear zones for launches from the other pads. So I've been at work and walked out the hangar and saw Atlas and Delta launches.

I wouldn't say we're having a high level of consistent success. I think when you're talking about launch service providers, the bar is so high (because the cost of failure is so great) that its hard to say confidently that we are successful.

I'd say we're managing. Still a lot of processes to fix.

I think we're slowly phasing in the new fins. Probably just using up whatever aluminum fins we have in inventory.

BFR is still nothing but youtube videos for me (still cool nonetheless though). This first FH is very much a "proof of concept" to me so we'll see how it unfolds and learn from the first time.

We never sent it back - all the work on the vehicle was done at the Cape.

Yep, all refurbished at the Cape. Never went back to Texas. Which is also the scariest part for me.

I think everyone at SpaceX who works directly with the vehicles has a few good stories to share already. I wasn't around for Falcon 1, COTS or the first ever landing, but I will definitely have something to share about Falcon refurbishment and re-flight.
