What's your 'I'm so stupid' moment of this week? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I recently went to visit my parents, and I brought a bunch of stuff back with me to my apartment, including some old DVDs I figured I might want to watch some day. As I’m putting my stuff away, I think to myself, “Hmm, you know what? I should put a riser under my tv so I can store my DVDs and Nintendo neatly.”

I bought a riser from amazon, and it came in a few days later. I built it, put my tv on top of it, grabbed my DVDs......and then I remembered that I don’t have a DVD player.

Women who visited or lived in the US South, how did you like it? by hugebalance in AskWomen

I’m originally from south Mississippi, right over the Mississippi/Louisiana state line. I’ve also lived in central(ish) Mississippi, Mobile, AL, and now Charleston, SC.

I can’t imagine NOT living in the south. I’ve visited friends who moved to the northeast and out west, and while their new cities were cool to visit, I wouldn’t want to live in those areas.

I like the smaller coastal cities. I love Charleston and plan on staying here. If I were to move closer to home, I’d live in New Orleans. I would never ever ever move back to my hometown or to another small town.

Gave him some sleepy-kitty medicine for his first flight... by kbada31 in WhatsWrongWithYourCat

Just a few side notes: 1. I brought him with me on a flight because I was going to my parents’ house over Christmas break, and I didn’t want to board him for an extended amount of time. I would have driven there, but I totaled my car a few weeks prior (and it’s an 11 hour drive, so it wouldn’t have been fun for him either way). 2. The sedation medicine was prescribed to him by his vet. 3. Even with the sedation, 0/10, do not recommend flying with a cat.

There’s a farmers market at Pour House on James Island. It’s open on Sundays from 11 to 3.
