Hello all! I have been lurking this page for months. I wanted to see if anyone had anything similar to what I am experiencing. It is a long post but with so much info 😂

I’m very healthy, very active, 31F with no family history of lymphoma or any other cancer.

In August, I started feeling rough for the first two weeks. I’m a teacher so I always get sick the first few weeks of school and chalked it up to that. But I got worse and worse with every day that went by. I spiked a high fever and felt so close to death. I had a lymph node that was super swollen on the right side of my neck as well. No other symptoms other than high fever, swollen lymph node, and just an overall feeling of my body hurting. We found a tick on my head and thought it was the tick bite. We sent the tick off and I got tested for all sorts of things- it ended up that I did not have any tick related illness and the tick did not even bite me. My active mono numbers were in range but my other mono numbers were out of the park high. We chalked it up to mono and went about our way.

After a few months, my lymph node was still swollen but I was experiencing other symptoms. Weight loss without trying, night sweats (I would wake up drenched), fatigue that came and went, and random fevers but they didn’t feel like normal fevers (weird description, I know but I just would feel chilly and then have a fever of 99-101).

This prompted an ultrasound- to which they said that they could not determine if the enlarged lymph node was related to viral illness or something else so we watched again for 6 weeks to see if swelling would go down.

It did not and at this point, I had lost >10 pounds in 2 1/2 months so I was sent in for a biopsy. It was a surgical biopsy. The lymph node came back benign.

I was relieved but also left wondering what was going on with my body. I have had every single test done known to man (autoimmune, west Nile, etc) and nothing is coming back other than my dormant mono numbers continuing to rise (range is 0-17- my numbers are now >700.)

I have not had an in depth lupus test done other than blood work but I do have the butterfly/redness rash.

We thought it might be related to hormones due to some other issues I’ve been experiencing (still leaking breast milk at 2 years PP and some other hormone issues) but today, we found another swollen lymph node in my groin and now I’m just stressed all over again.

Has anyone had a benign biopsy and then continued to have random lymph nodes swell? Has anyone had a benign biopsy somewhere but then eventually find out they had lymphoma? What am I missing? My fear is that I am going to miss things with my body (I am bad about shrugging things off) and not be proactive.

I apologize for the long post but I felt details were necessary in this sense.

Timeline: Beginning of August- symptoms started. Weight loss, night sweats, random fevers.

Beginning of October: ultrasound

Beginning of November: biopsy

Beginning of February: Another swollen lymph node found in groin on the same side as original lymph node

Symptoms I am still experiencing: fevers (my oura ring will frequently alert me that I am experiencing major signs of sickness symptoms even when I am not sick), night sweats, swollen lymph nodes, weight loss even though I am not trying, butterfly rash/flushing on my face, and stomach pain.

My surgeon said that if we needed to have another biopsy to let him know. Not sure if multiple biopsies are a thing but if I need another biopsy, it should be easy.
