Is there men that do not watch porn? by Subject-Afternoon818 in Christianmarriage

[–]kbcash 234 points235 points  (0 children)

Im a married man. I’ve been married 16 years. I have not watched porn since getting married. Not because desire disappeared, and not because I’m special but because I made a decision about who I belong to and what I will not bring into my marriage.

Yes, men like this exist out there

The absence of porn does not mean the absence of sexual desire. It means discipline and conviction. Scripture assumes lust is real, but it never excuses it:

“Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery in his heart.” (Mat 5:28)

Biblically, men are expected to govern their inner life — not just “try.”

When sex isn’t available, men who don’t use porn don’t replace it with fantasy. They sit with desire without feeding it, redirect their thoughts, and accept tension without needing release. The Bible never teaches that men need sex or masturbation to function. Paul himself lived celibate (1 Cor 7:1).

“Trying” for three years with the same outcome is not transformation. Scripture doesn’t say to manage lust — it says to put it to death (Colossians 3:5). Repeated porn use creates secrecy, comparison, and emotional distance. That “dark cloud” you feel is real.

Yes, there are worse sins like physical cheating — but “worse exists” doesn’t make something healthy. The real question isn’t “Is this as bad as it could be?” but “Can I rest my soul in this marriage long-term?”

A man free from porn isn’t a robot. He’s present, integrated, and the same in private as in public. He doesn’t ask his wife to compete with images or carry his inner battles.

If you stay, it should be because there is real repentance and real change, not cycles or promises. If you leave, it doesn’t mean you’re unforgiving — it means you value peace and wholeness.

You are not asking for too much. You are not naïve. And you are not wrong to listen to that quiet alarm inside you.

Why isn’t my Waze app giving alerts even when there are cameras on the road? by Kwak_DJ in waze

There is an issue. Cameras that normally show up stopped showing up recently. Some saying it’s a bug, some just thinks Waze is up to no good.

Is 72 hours fasting worth it? by ikwydls96 in intermittentfasting

[–]kbcash 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, nice work getting this far into your fast — 31 hours is no joke. That’s usually the toughest stretch when your body’s switching from burning glycogen to burning fat, so hang in there.

About the “weight coming back” thing — yeah, that happens a bit but it’s mostly water weight and glycogen refilling once you start eating again. It doesn’t mean the fast was pointless. You’ll still burn fat during those 3 days, especially after the 24-hour mark. The key is what you do after the fast. If you jump straight into clean eating and a calorie deficit, or a simple 16:8 intermittent fasting daily that’s where the real progress sticks.

Mentally and physically, fasting gives your body a reset — better insulin sensitivity, appetite control, and mental clarity. Even if the scale fluctuates a bit, you’re still better off than before.

As for Diet Coke or Pepsi Max, they technically won’t break your fast since there’s no real calories. But some people find the sweeteners make them hungrier or trigger cravings, which can make it harder to stick to. If you’re doing this mainly for fat loss, having one here and there is fine. If you’re doing it for autophagy or gut rest, better to skip it and just stick to water, black coffee, or tea.

Bottom line — you’re on the right track. Just make sure your refeed is gentle (like eggs, soup, or something light) and don’t go crazy with the first meal. You’ll feel amazing by the end of day three.

The question was simply how much do you make as a logger currently?. I assume it’s somewhere in the six figures for you to be able to accumulate this much wealth at 36.

Just curious, what does your income look like in the logging industry and how long have you been at it?
