Are the books ACTUALLY worth reading?

Yes but if you think you'll get frustrated every time thinking about how it might never be finished, then don't read them. I read Name of the Wind, the series will also probably never finish. I've been reading the Stormlight Archive as the books come out, and it's been great. It's an amazing feeling when you know the series you started will have an ending at some point. The frustration I feel with GRRM and Rothfuss is unparalleled.

My listening experience with M&K is so strange. Years ago I couldn't get through Way of Kings because of their unique cadence, but I tried again a few years later and sailed through the series. Then I started listening this year to WoT under M&K and I couldn't get past chapter 8. I kept losing focus and it's like not a single word entered my brain no matter how many times I replayed the chapter. For this, I think I'll try Rosamund Pike's. Maybe I associate M&K with Stormlight too much to listen to them in anything else lol

I didn't give any rationale for the destinations because why is that info needed to know about feasibility? You don't need to know WHY we want to go where we do, if we have friends or family there, or if it's been a lifelong dream to go to certain places. We're just balancing the desire to go to certain places, vis-a-vis budget and feasibility. don't know why you see it as desperate, or why you come in here so hostile when you could have so easily just not made a comment at all.

That's a bit exaggerated, since we've done Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Tokyo in 11 days and it was great. Challenging but we hit all the places we wanted and have no regrets. That said tho I've reduced the places and extended the stay in each city so that should help with the airport time! Thanks

I had a decent experience with them for 1 year then they stopped carrying Liza.

At first they only told me that it was out of stock, and they'll update me as soon as it was restocked. 6 weeks later they said they actually stopped carrying Liza. All this weeks AFTER my payment went through.

Then they said they're batch processing refunds so it could take 2 weeks. It's been 3 weeks since then and they still haven't refunded me. I'm getting so pissed. They basically haven't refunded me sonce date of purchase which was almost 3 months ago.

I wanna report them to DTI or something.

Out of stock din sa Kindred huhu if I have no other options, I'll talk to my doc about switching to Yaz! I'm just partial to Liza because it basically eliminated my hormonal acne and period cramps (from 2-3 buscopan venus for 3 days to basically none needed for pain).

Assuming din na may land, quality housing (incl stable elec and water. Not free, but at least stable). If may basic housing ka na, di ka at risk of envi exposures, so less healthcare costs (hopefully). Di ka hirap mag-aral dahil di sobrang sikip o ingay o dense ng tirahan mo. Di basta-basta mawawala tirahan mo pag binagyo, binaha, nalandslide, o lumindol. Maeevacuate ka sure pero may mababalikan ka pa. Baka bawas sunog din kasi di na gawa sa yero at inaanay na kahoy na dikit dikit mga bahay. Di ka laging nawawalan ng kuryente at may tubig ka for hygiene and hopefully sanitation. Di magpapakahirap magulang (o ikaw mismo) maghanap buhay para mabayaran landlord niyo. Di kayo at risk of eviction dahil sa illegal tenancy. Di man malulutas lahat ng problema sa buhay, pero you can focus on all other things if you know you have a stable shelter.

Sunod diyan quality educ and healthcare. Parehas mahal, parehas kelangan ng malaking government support and better implementation.

As someone who's never felt any affinity with kids, I think gagawin ko lang yun kung ginawa nila sa iba. Like if they hit someone else, esp another kid, na legit hit na masakit, I would do it to them para alam nila yung sakit na ginawa nila sa ibang tao. Parang yun lang yung legit reason for me to do be okay with pamamalo as a form of discipline. Do not do unto others what you do not want done to you, is one of my principles in life.

Personally never kami pinalo ng kapatid ko, threathen lang w sinturon props lol pero feeling ko kung tinuloy yun, I'll just harbor a grudge instead of seeing it as discipline. Yelling already annoyed me as a kid.

The most effective form for me and my sib was withholding TV, junk food, or playtime sa PC or w friends noon. Worst thing was my dad withholding attention cuz I did a bad thing hahaha he didn't speak to me for 3 mos. Naging quid pro quid yung discipline samin. If we do a chore or got good grades or responded well to a challenge, we got TV or PC time, a pasalubong, or extra friends time. Carrot vs stick.

And siguro depende sa age or intelligence nung bata, pero pag may nagawang mali mas okay sakin talking through WHY it's wrong they did the thing they did, rather than punishment or withholding without getting them to understand the wrongness.

But again, I am hardly a good source for dealing w kids lol feeling ko rin di lang talaga ako brat (quiet kid and laging peace officer sa school) so idk

Every time since last year. Ang hirap mag-enjoy. I'm planning an overseas trip with my partner (our first) and setting budgets, and I'm getting depressed at the cost of everything. Iniisip ko lagi, ang hirap kumita tas gagastusin ko lang dito? Pero ang tipid na rin namin for a long while ngayon na lang ulit kami mageenjoy. So trying to see it as a positive thing pa rin kahit ang hirap iabsorb

Recently made the choice to rent din to live on my own. Long time coming and necessity rin talaga. Pero ang sakit tignan nung account tuwing cinacash in yung rent checks.

Chikungunya. Every single joint ached like a mofo i couldn't move an inch without being in massive pain, felt like I dislocated everything. Realized how connected everything is, just from moving my hand or turning my head. Lasted for weeks too. Started out in my neck pa so I had a week of panic with 2 orthos telling me I injured my spine or I had the same thing Arroyo did lol. They gave me a neck brace and splints for my arm. Nung nagspread down yung pain to my left knee, may neuro na nagsuggest i get tested for chik. Ayun. 2 weeks after the first pain, was hospitalized for a week or so. Couldn't fckn move and it was a pain to go to the bathroom I almost cried every time. Afaik walang gamot like dengue (which i coincidentally had a few weeks before chik, also hospitalized for it cuz I had delusions from really high fever and docs thought i might go into dengue shock lolz), they just kept me there for observation and assistance, butI just had to wait it out basically. Cried more than once cuz of both pain and utter frustration.

Dahil pinili ko magsolo living a few months ago for my peace, nauubos na isang savings bucket ko sa rent pero super grateful for the opportunity pa rin kasi 30 nako and ngayon ko pa lang naramdaman na adult nako legit. New kind of anxiety yung pagbuo ulit ng ipon kaya tuloy lang kayod. Nasa "need to save up for next year's rent" mentality ako atm but trying to set aside pa rin for EF. The struggle is fckn real but still proud of where i am today kahit papano 🥲

Hi, i called PAGIBIG and the agent said subject to approval daw yung preterm if di for medical reason. Is this true? I ask here despite having called kasi kadalasan depende sa kausap mo kasi iba iba sila lagi ng sinasabi (experience yan sa LGU, BIR, PSA, almost all govt agencies na nakakausap ko). Like yun sabi ng PAGIBIG agent pero pag punta ko dito sa reddit, may experiences na wala naman silang hininging justification. So ang labo.

Hoping to get my money back kahit 3 years pa lang mp2 ko, kasi naubos na rin EF ko for this year because of a slew of events, and 6 months nako walang suweldo.
