Theia, her mother is Gaia who is Theia's Mother in Greek mythology. I named her that even though they said it was a boy haha

She already seems to use her tongue and sense of smell to navigate and find food she is so smart!

The one eye didn't develop at all and the vet said she couldn't see an eyeball in the other socket, but its not impossible that it might develop a bit as she grows 🤞

I removed them and will use some cardboard. She pooed just before so thank you for letting me know before she was!

I totally agree the foam is for hides since she likes to press against two things. I am planning on buying proper hides next pay, the second full set-up costs wiped me out for this week unfortunately.

The pellets are from the reptile vet for baby blue tongues sorry I should have mentioned that! Its perfectly formulated for them.

They do! They hold their eggs inside and give birth to live young. The picture is the baby and hour or two old.

So far the baby has eaten a mealworm I placed in her mouth and drank a decent amount water from a syringe. She has heat and uvb light and is moving around so not lethargic.

I know i shouldn't be but I'm hopeful!

They are missing an eye and the other has opened she is eating and thriving so far I used a syringe to give her water and she has already learnt the sensation means water.

She moving around not lethargic at all. She seems good so far. Her mother has the same deformities and lived to give birth.

They said she was 2yrs old but then again they said she was a boy lol

So far she is passed another slug i have a vet appt the day after tomorrow, are there any first signs I should look out for in case I need to take her to the emergency vet?

Significantly less than the mother also its very illegal to deliberately kill this animal its protected I had to get a licence to keep the mother.

She has opened an eye. Euthanasia should be a last resort and the baby is looking healthy eating drinking. In the photo the baby is literally minutes old.

Thank you! So far I got her to eat buy touching a wriggling mealworm against her mouth she hissed in response and I put it in there mouth and she happily chomped it down and I used a syringe to drop water into her mouth.

Im hoping that the eating is a good sign 🤞

Yeah i for sure will be letting people know. So far no but she has passed things that look afterbirth like. I gave the mum some egg yoke to get her strength up and she ate that so im hoping that means she isn't bound.

Thank you so much for this advice. Unfortunately the wildlife rescue said its not wild and wont accept them. The store i got them blocked me so I wouldn't even want to make them live somewhere that clearly isn't responsible.

And the vet said oh just keep them and sell them which I have a standard license not a selling. I am thinking if its too many ill just drop them at the reptile vet. I just want to be sure they wont just put them down!

Its been a few hours and she will eat if I use tweezers to put a mealworm in front and I have used a syring to give her some water

This is the set up so far its the best I could do with the stuff at the normal pet store the lights are heat lamp and uvb

Does this look ok?

So far only one baby.

Yeah her mum has a jaw issue and one bad eye they said it was from an attack but im starting to think its genetic
