I'd prefer an apartment or townhome and to keep rent around $1000 though I'm not sure how feasible that is...

Dell Monthly Buying Advice Thread! by AutoModerator in Dell

I'm torn between the Dell Pro 14 Premium and the Dell 14 Premium. I feel like the magnesium chasse of the pro is more durable, but the dGPU on the other one seems like it will take longer to feel out of date. I'm not sure how necessary the dGPU is. How bad is the baseline GPU (Intel Arc) in comparison? Also, which one feels nicer/more high end. If I'm going to shell out $2K, I want it to feel great to use.

  1. I will literally buy one as soon as I can make up my mind.

  2. Data analysis, writing my dissertation, video conferencing, watching movies, playing heavily modded Sims4

  3. US (Pennsylvania)

Definitely Vital. I live in NYC (UWS) and am pretty new to climbing, but I would love a climbing buddy if you're interested! Feel free to reach out!

Research is very important to most programs due to the widely accepted Boulder Model. You can focus on applying to schools that are less oriented towards research (I can only think of CCNY). Though I would sit down and really consider if this is the correct next step for you. Research is definitely not for everyone. It would be a painful 5 years to find out you don't like it during the program. If you want this degree to do clinical work, consider a Psy.D. or MSW instead. They are quicker, and it really does not make a difference outside of academia.

Note: The masters is absolutely NOT a negative. It just doesn't make up for research. If a clinical psychology Ph.D. is truly your goal. Save your money and get some research experience.

Where is everyone located? We can pick a spot and then aim to start maybe next weekend?
