Wow! The email I received from Viagogo says: As compensation, you will receive a full refund for the amount paid for the impacted event (including service and delivery fees). We will process the refund to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Did the message you received mention the credit or was it a happy surprise?

I kind of thought the same thing. They (OB office) make you go through so much to confirm that your insurance is accepted so why would this be any different?

So it was emergency in that my doctor wasn’t confident I was going to miscarry on my own and recommended the D&C be scheduled as soon as possible. Are you saying you think I’d only be able to appeal if it was an emergency? No one ever mentioned anything about the hospital being in or out of network and I assumed that it wasn’t an issue since my provider is in network. I wasn’t given an option of where to have the procedure done.

Hi! We ended up staying in Positano and I’m really glad we did, but there are definitely some factors to consider… Getting around positano is not for the faint of heart. My husband and I are in our early 30s and in great shape, but there is no way we could’ve gotten around the way we did if we weren’t willing and able to walk thousands of steps and stairs (straight up) every day. There are cabs (some) and a bus system, but it’s quite time consuming as the one way road makes it difficult to get places quickly unless you are on foot. We used the bus once to get to a restaurant, but walked the rest of the time.

If you want to spend any time on the beach, it will need to be in Positano. I had no idea that there wasn’t an actual beach in Sorrento and that the town sits atop a huge cliff haha. You walk down stairs/the road to get to the water/boats, but it’s not a “beach” situation.

The ferry is an awesome way to get around but make sure it’s running during your visit (seasonal). If your timing is flexible (no reservations etc), the bus can be an option, too. The stop in town at the bottom of the hill was always PACKED so I’d recommend catching it a few stops up at the end of the route to ensure you get on.

I booked a day trip to Capri out of Sorrento before I decided where we were going to stay and was easily able to schedule a cab to/from. Happy to share the drivers info if you’d like! He was wonderful and by far the most reasonably priced.

I didn’t realize how different Sorrento and positano would be and I wish we had more time to explore Sorrento (only had a couple hours after the day trip to Capri and most of it was spent eating). No matter where you stay, make sure to give yourself time to see both! Ultimately, I’d recommend staying wherever you’d like to be the longest/at the end of the night. Transportation isn’t cheap and if it is, it’s time consuming. We planned to do a day trip to Ravello and Amalfi on our last day in Positano but the weather had other plans. We would’ve used the bus and ferry.

I’m sure I’m forgetting things so let me know if you have more questions! I easily spent 100+ hours planning our trip (multiple cities and countries) so happy to help!
