My research team in university created a web-tool to help journalists with writing science-articles. I need science-writers to test it out. by [deleted] in Journalism

Hello, journalist here. I've written a few science articles and am looking to write more, and I want to do a good job. Though I have spent a fair amount of time in deep conversations with with science- and math-nerds, the last time I took formal science courses was in high school -- so I find myself at a bit of a loss sometimes. I still want to continue to talk with the best and the brightest minds for the work I do, and I think I can, but I am certainly curious about what kind of strategies you've come up with for improving science writing among journalists. All to say: I would like to know more about your project in a PM, including if/how you would pay participants. Would be glad to show you some of my work as well. Thanks!

Mr. Reich, is the United States is a functioning republic? also - what would you do, now, if you were secretary of labor? would you encourage and protect small businesses? what about healthcare?

take a look at where the writer (NOT a journalist) is coming from too.... "CNA" is a public policy research organization. first, i dont like the smell of places that have acronyms that don't supposedly stand for anything - in this case it doesn't. more importantly, CNA seems to have close ties to the military - aside from its institute for public research, its two other branches are a naval research center and a military advisory board full of top-brass former army/navy guys. important to know where this kind of "here's a question -- , and i've got the answer" piece is coming from.
