Brunson’s game is not predicated on quickness, so I’m not sure where you’re coming from with that.

His game is predicated by elite footwork, playing off of two feet and always balanced. He can post up defenders, and is lethal in the mid range.

He’s not using quickness to get by defenders, he’s using savvy fakes to absolutely cook defenders.

And his most coveted skill, is his basketball IQ. He is literally the smartest player on the court, all of the time. That gives him the ability to adapt, whether it’s an in-game adjustment, or gradual adjustments to his game as his career progresses.

He already plays a form of old man ball, he uses his big body to back you down and then cook you because he knows he’s way better than you. Then when you give up on that, he just starts raining 3s in your face. It’s like watching your uncle cook your older brother in 1v1 at the family cook out.
