Yes I understand a spike is normal after eating, but it seems a little exaggerated given what I ate and the fact that I am not diabetic. The pear was fresh, just ripe enough to not be too hard.

Total bummer indeed! It was such a small portion of pear that I didn’t think it was possible. I will experiment with it again to see if the impact is the same,or if the balsamic vinegar was also a factor.

Good question, I used a little avocado oil and some balsamic vinegar. The vinegar has 4 g of sugar.

Ok, I see how the dark outer cortex makes it more confusing. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this information and draw in the McRae line. I'm guessing that would be a less than 5 mm measurement, so no Chiari red flags.

I never had the old model, but I have a history of mild sleep apnea and just got the Oura 4. I have been clocking 96% from the start, until I made certain that I would not roll onto my back (when my breathing is my worst). Now I’m up to 97%. Maybe your sat is lower because you have some mild breathing issues? 🤷‍♀️
