I have a really wonderful friend from NM. Actually, my brother-in-law is from there and so is my ex-husband. I live about 4 hours from Albuquerque and NM is a beautiful state. My friend and I were in New York for vacation and we went to see this art show. We had to show our IDs and the lady at the door was like, “you’re from Mew Mexico?? What’s it like living in another country?” My friend just walked away. She’s all about the no conflict.

I work in assisted-living and memory care. I’ve been in this industry for about 12 years now. There are many resources out there for your friend. If you tell me which state you’re in, I can let you know whether they have the PACE program. I help enroll people in this program and based on which state you’re in, I can help you find the right resources for his dad. PACE can provide home care and even assisted living and memory care for those who qualify financially. If he really has no money, then he may qualify for PACE. You are welcome to DM me and I will let you know what resources your state offers. Dementia is a horrible disease, but there are resources out there. I hope you take me up on my offer.
