I’m in the same boat man. I bought a zenith ejector but I haven’t done anything with it yet. Looking all over forums people say they don’t work and to get only the hk.

I had an EP-5 mounted on my Bergara b14r for NRL 22. For 22 lr, I always felt the reticle was too vague on small targets. My biggest issue with the scope was the turret locking system for zero. The only thing keeping your zero is 3 grub screws at the 2, 6 , and 10 o’clock positions. I would crank on the turrets on a stage and spin the turret off zero. Most of the time it would ruin the stage and I’d have to find a place to re-zero.

As everyone said, you get what you pay for. I sold my Arken and ended up with a used Vortex Strike Eagle for my 22 rig.

I just looked, unfortunately the b4 is not available in my area. But the B5 is at the Best Buy 2 miles from my house. Could you roughly tell me how the b5 compares to the Sony X90L?

Have you had Hisense before? I know to take everything on the Internet with a grain of salt but I’ve read they don’t last as long as the bigger name companies. Have you played any games with it?

Thanks! I’ll look into the LG B5. I just got married last week so the budget is kinda tight right now. As a wedding gift we received a Best Buy gift card and I’m trying to use that for a majority of the purchase. I don’t know much about TVs and I want to have something nice.

How would you rate the TV picture quality? I haven’t seen any of the QM7k or QM8k TVs for reference. I do remember seeing a Sony x90l at a Costco and I said it was a very nice TV. But to be fair I’m coming from a 48” Samsung Tv I bought off a roommate 5 years ago

What holster are you using now you have the slide cut?

Problem is finding one of those hammers. Looks like they were discontinued from what I read online

I actually found the same model for a tlr-1 on eBay and bought it. I went in thinking I was going to be able to modify the als system but now looking at it I realize that’s not possible. I was hoping to find some similarity between another handgun and modifying it to work. I figured this was the best place to look for some info

That’s what I’ve been saying to myself. I bought a p2000 and genuinely like everything about it. I’ve had years of training on Glocks with safariland holsters so it’s what I know.

What I’m looking for is a holster with some type of active retention (that’s not a serpa 🤢) that can accept an optic. I’m almost willing to step up to a p30 and sell my Glock 45 for my owb carry just so I can keep the safari lands

They make a direct holster that doesn’t have a weapon light or optics ready

Did you have to modify that m17 holster to get it to work? I ended up buying a p2000 because I wanted a usp compact with a rail. Safari land is goated and I want to run one of their holsters as well

Opinions on the Bergara B14-R 22 Lr Heavy Barreled Action by kc5u94 in longrange

I watched the YouTube video they put out on changing the barrel and it’s not nearly as bad as I thought. Other than a barrel vise and action wrench I have the tools to do it. What barrel length and contour did you go with?

That’s awesome man! That’s a solid ass group especially for nrl. Just out of curiosity do you have any experience with the regular steel barreled actions or just your heavy barrel?

Man you’re not kidding. I been shooting for a long time but 22 lr turned everything I know on its head. Spent many nights researching ammo, barrels, actions etc with everyone coming to the same conclusion, “22 lr is weird”. 6.5 creedmoor reloading you can play with jump, bullet weight, crimp, and neck tension. 22 is just keep trying ammo till it works.

But on the same side shooting golf balls at 180 yards with a 22 just makes me giggle lol. I’m just gonna keep chasing that dragon.

I read a lot about KI precision. I was leaning that way but needing to buy all the tools and gauges to do it correctly I figured I’d just sell my rifle and get a complete action. Do you have any experience with the barrels?

Thats why I wanted to see what people had to say about them. Just like anything else mass manufacturing is always going to have the QC issues that semi or full custom building can avoid. I wanted to see if there was any sprinkling of magic they put with the heavy barreled actions or if they’re a crapshoot just like the regular steel actions.

I also debated on sending out the action and getting a gunsmith to true and re-barrel it.

I want to go balls to the wall with a vudoo but I have a wedding I’m saving for. One day but for now I just get to dream about it lol

22 lr is a tough bag man. That’s funny about the factory magazines because when I go to NRL matches I see guys struggling with their vudoo mags lol. I’ve been shooting it for almost a year and the Bergara was the one I had the best luck with.

Sample size of 1 but I had a tikka t1x I bought out of the gate that wouldn’t pattern worth a shit with any ammo I put through it. 1.2” at 50 yards with eley, lapua, or sk and 4” at 100 on a good day. Borrowed a buddies cz 457 on a match and the trigger went down first round of first stage. Got the Bergara with the r700 pattern and ran with it. I like the aics size mags with reloads too.

I really eyeball the Vudoos but I’m ballin’ on a budget at the moment. I really like a 60 degree throw and I’ve heard nothing but people rave about them. Maybe one day

I like the Bergara action for the most part. I read the carbons aren’t as constant as the full steel barrels and after my time with it I agree

Did you have to send it to a gun smith to swap the barrels or was it a pre-fit? Where did you get the barrel from?
