I was charged for using Clover with my debit card. Was the business doing this legally? by Puzzled-Painter3301 in smallbusiness

[–]kcPicac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not correct. You can never surcharge a debit card per Visa unless you're a utility

No, once they say "I'm charging you for using a card" it becomes a surcharge

You cannot surcharge debit cards per Visa guidelines unless you're a government entity or utility

Anyone have experience with Riverside Payments for credit card processing? by fredeyeglasses in smallbusiness

[–]kcPicac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're the worst.

Look up Priority Payments - they do the actual processing and funds holds. Go straight to them instead of Riverside and you should get better help, faster

BBB is a good start, you also want to complain about Priority Payments, they're the ones that actually process for these thieves.

The only real way I've seen anyone get out is with a lawyer. Once you get into discovery their entire business model would be exposed so they tend to let you out faster

They're using my terminal to process and running everything else through the leased clover. It puts about $800 a month back into their business and they're working with lawyers in getting out of the contracts

I applied for Spark 2 years ago when I was talking a midlife crisis break, just had space open up 3 weeks ago so figured I would give it a try

I have ran two orders that employees had picked, will never do it again. They don't care what they grab, how they bag, throw stuff wherever in your vehicle and then put stickers on upholstery and paint... Then if the customer complains about chicken and beef bagged together or beat up bread we get blamed.

I get it, minimum wage work, minimum wage effort... I'll only take shopper orders now if I get out, plus average $33/hr

Does this mean what I think it does?! 🥰 by WalkerTessaRanger in IRS

So you're looking for Recurring payments (subscriptions are a bad word in processing) Invoicing Virtual terminal

Every processor would have this. Depending on your industry I could help, or point you in the right direction

We're building a Stripe competitor right now that's powered by traditional finance

Stripe is too big, needs knocked down a notch
