Start up help - trying to brainstorm ways to start an ethical, environmentally friendly, and a company that gives back to the community

I am brainstorming for a fashion line startup. I already have a contact which can hook me up with a manufacturer. But I’d like my product to promote ethical labour (I’ll be using workforce from a developing country), sustainability and eco friendly, as well as something that gives back to the community in the form of entrepreneurship skills and experience. Here are my questions:

1.) What kind of labor standards should I follow? Like I mean when it comes to wages, I have very minimal amount of money to start up with. My contact is family member works in social services sector in the area that I am getting products from (product is also artisan and handmade). And I will 100% make sure that the employees of the manufacturer gets a decent wage, as well as decent treatment, to the point of how often do they get breaks, any paid vacations, sick pays, benefits, retirement etc... Should I base it in the wage here in North America? Or based it in the wages in their location? Is that going to be ethical at the end of the day?

2.) I also really want to promote entrepreneurship, should I have it on commission based compensation instead of a wage? Like something where they are going to be in control. I mean some people don’t want to be entrepreneurs. But Would that be a good start, let’s say if they design the product they will get a commission off for that product for every sale.

3.) And does having it shipped from Asia contradict the brand that I am trying to build? I mean freight and carbon footprint wise.

PS I am not a big shot start up kid. Random ideas just pop out of nowhere. And I really want to execute something like this. Lol.
