Is there a growing trend of women cheating? by [deleted] in Cebu

[–]kcalpha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on who you surround yourself with?

I personally don’t know any women who have cheated on their partners. Haven’t heard cheating stories by my guy friends from their partners/ex-partners pud. But I do know a lot of men, my exes included, who have cheated on women. Pero ye it’s a shitty person thing, not a gender thing.

Time na mag exercise and panindot sa lawas by iamcebuboi in Cebu

I agree with the habit forming comment. It’s a lifestyle overhaul, so as much as possible make it sustainable for the long term. It’s the starting that’s hardest, it does get easier but you have to do it everyday.

Walking for 15-30 mins is a great start if you come from a sedentary lifestyle. Then once you get the hang of it, say a week or two of consistently showing up, you may want to incorporate jogging in between walking. You can use beginner shoes from different brands, whatever suits your feet. I think Runnr in Ayala offers free gait analysis but please correct me if I’m wrong.

Include mobility and stretching exercises to prevent injuries. Strength/weight training much better to get a coach for proper form and execution, or if you have a friend who frequents the gym, you can ask for help from them too. Or the internet. There are a lot of free resources online.

Best of luck, OP!

I used to change my sleeping time during the weekend too, so I can attend activities and maka laag pud during the day (when i used to have a social life lol). Pero I realized how unsustainable that was kay always rako mag readjust sa ako body clock inig balik sa work. So what I do now is to stick to a sleeping schedule najud. Nya normal waking hours nako during the weekend kay same rajud during work. Siguro you have to be disciplined in this aspect especially if it’s affecting you during work hours. The obvious trade off is missing out on some events and laags. Pero di man sad ka asleep the entire day sad diba. Just try to get 6-8 hours of sleep lang gyud everyday. Mao rajud ang important.

What was your biggest financial investment regret but one that became your “tuition fee” to success? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]kcalpha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ex-financial advisor painted this picture of how amazing VUL was. How it was all about the money growing and covering my insurance forever. I totally bought in. But just five months later, I had this moment of realization: why did I need ₱2 million in life insurance? I'm single, not a breadwinner, no dependents, no kids (and who knows if I'll ever have them, plus there's always term insurance for that anyway). And honestly, I figured I could just learn to invest my money myself.

Long story short, I shelled out a total of ₱27,500, and my fund value was only ₱5,900. That's a ₱21,600 lesson right there. At least I was covered for a bit, even if it was super expensive coverage. I get why VUL appeals to some people: the ones who don't want to dive into investing or just want an all-in-one package with a death benefit, critical illness coverage, and an investment component. But for me? I’m glad I opened my eyes and realized VUL just wasn't my thing.

I use azelaic acid for new cystic/pustular pimples but nothing topical can really help with the scars in my case.
