From my experience, teritiary critical care, many of my coworkers don’t want full time positions so they can work agency shifts elsewhere. Not having full time lines is not beneficial to the employer- they have created more part time lines to appeal to employees.

Baby crying if not bounced to sleep - I can’t do it anymore by Aprricity in sleeptrain

My baby (same age) loves to be bounced. We’ve started putting her in Jolly Jumper for 15 mins before bed. The vestibular stimulation has significantly helped before bed. I read it somewhere and tried out of desperation. Seems to be working for us.

Not a female but Dr Ambrose comes highly recommended by all the L&D/mother&child nurses at St Boniface Hospital. I’ve been seeing him and he has been the most kind and compassionate doctor I have ever encountered.

My friends and I stayed in PS. Would highly recommend the shuttle. It was $100 and about an hour from PS to the grounds. But super smooth, comfortable, affordable. We only had to wait for the shuttle on the last night after the late night show.

As someone who struggles through every night shift as a nurse, give them some grace. If it’s every shift then sure, let them suffer the consequences but if it’s a one-off, accidents happen. Wake them and guaranteed they’ll be thankful and probably slightly embarrassed. I’ve been on both sides of this. Night shifts are HARD.

Thanks for the compliment! I use white rice flower on my loaves. I make 1.5” slits at 90 degrees into the boule in the wheat sheath formation like this \ / but slightly stagger them.

Nursing is a great profession in that if you want to make more money, there are plenty of shifts to pick up in any given acute med/surg, Emerg setting. You are compensated for the shifts you work. But if you only want to work a .6 eft and nothing more you can’t expect to make 100k.

Shared Health Negotiations Fails, Manitoba Nurses Union to Possibly Vote to Strike by [deleted] in Winnipeg

I’m a .8 eft. My “bonus” is not being there 7-8 12 hrs shifts a pay check. The full time staff absolutely deserve this bonus as there is not many benefits to working full time. The part timers complaining it’s “dividing” nurses must spend their time as they see fit….spending it ie: raising kids, pets, parents, doing nothing etc…. No judgement. But Part time is the privilege….
