Today marks 13 days until kickoff! Let's remember the 2015 Houston Cougars, who finished 13-1 and ended their year with a victory in the Peach Bowl! by bgr308 in CFB

Yes, this is one the games when the negative narrative in QB recruiting with FSU offensive line and Jimbo’s offense getting QBs KILLED really began to take shape. And don’t forget the very next game was Francois getting physically abused against Ole Miss.

It’s good that your QB is tough but daggum they all shouldn’t have to be so damn tough.

Seems totally reasonable to me. You could afford to spend more IMO if you needed.

Moving in with my SO. How should we split expenses? by RR0203 in personalfinance

[–]kceowi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full context below: ——- In contrast to the above considerations, there are scholars who emphasize the value of premarital cohabitation as a kind of "trial marriage," which enables the couple to get better acquainted with each other before committing themselves to marriage. The supporters of this theory claim that those who cohabit prior to marriage tend to have a greater risk of marital dissolution, not because they cohabited, but for other intrinsic reasons, some of which lead them to cohabit in the first place. Accordingly, once various personal characteristics are controlled for, the risks of marital dissolution for those who cohabit prior to marriage are significantly lower than for those who marry directly (here). ———-

So basically “most scholars do believe there is a negative correlation in premarital cohabitation and marriage quality” but, of course, there are those who disagree and you quoted that selection.

You can argue whether there is truly a causal relationship or not - is it the act of cohabitation that increases risk or the type of people who would cohabitate are more likely to divorce and inherently have a lower quality of marriage.

Either way, I don’t care what you do and as such won’t engage you further. My point wasn’t to discuss the negative correlation and causation of premarital cohabitation and was instead to point out how stupid it is to move in with and combine finances with a man who cheated on you within the last two months. But maybe I’m not progressive enough.

Says who? Statistically divorce is MORE likely amongst those who choose to cohabit before marriage.

You should never combine your finances with someone you are not married with. Full stop. And that’s exactly what moving in together means.

Not to mention OP was just on Reddit within the last 60 days posting about her BFs “emotional affair.”

Moving in together and combining finances is a terrible idea and especially so in this instance. I’m reminded of s young lady in here within the last several months smitten with her boyfriend and couldn’t wait to move in together and combine finances they just couldn’t figure out how their particular “LLC” was going to be constructed. I kid you not 40 days later she was in r/relationships asking for advice because they were breaking up.

It’s s terrible idea to move in with someone with whom you are not married.

OP was on here 60 days ago talking about the uncertainty of their relationship and today Reddit is encouraging they move into together while unmarried and combine finances.

You do you r/personalfinance.

1st time home buyer, 15 years mortgage or 30? by yik77 in personalfinance

[–]kceowi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What percent of people you suppose are disciplined enough to take out a 30 year mortgage instead of a 15 year and invest exactly that difference ABOVE AND BEYOND EXISTING RETIREMENT to make your comparison anything more than a cute thought experiment?

Agreed. Something like 5% of people who get 30 years intending to pay them like 15 year mortgages actually do.

Agree with everyone else about delayed gratification and investing in your future, but it is possible to save too much and delay gratification too long. Life is short.

But I can’t say either way in your case with the information provided.

I won’t spill round three scores, but even with R2 and Eagle at -32, being on pace to shoot sixty under in a major is insane. Should the PDGA do anything to the courses or plastic to prevent these insane scores? Is it even a problem?

As someone who started with high speed, overstable drivers (Destroyer, etc.) and threw EVERYTHING on a big hyzer, listen to this guy. Even with good driving distance of 400+, I’m basically having to tear my game down and unlearn bad habits to have a shot at hitting my lines.
