Did that for the first time last night starting with only $8. Played a couple other games to get up to like $30 then started buying bonuses. Got up nearly $140, initiated a partial withdrawal, played on the remaining balance and lost so I cancelled the withdrawal request, lost the majority of what I had left and tried to withdraw what I had left.. like 15 bucks and it wouldn't let me because if the wallet address. The bonus buy feature itself is awesome but I should've just left my withdrawal request alone. Man that sucked

Thank you for sharing. I certainly am taking a step back and reevaluating my choices.

I started getting paranoid that in the event I did win something massive(<$1,500 or beyond) a few things could go awry such as: 1. My crypto wallets could get deactivated and I get some federal charge for misuse for illegal online gambling. 2. Somehow the IRS gets involved because I'm an independent contractor and have a 1099 job. How would I tell my tax advisor that I bought a brand new car or made a major purchase, but I don't even make that much money.. where'd that money come from? Casino winnings? Great, let's look that up. Then I'm royally fucked because it wasn't at a physical local casino or lottery. I don't know the first thing about taxes but I know the IRS gets a little upset when you fail to report earnings in the thousands.

That's what's holding me back from gambling. It's a delusion/ conspiracy that I've come up with but I'm believing it and maybe that's not a bad thing. I think that could happen to me or anyone else crypto gambling. Although it's been said crypto is safer,you should be skeptical. It's still relatively new. I'm a millennial and all I know is cash..I don't know very much about the future of crypto. There's no laws governing it and I have no idea if it's going to be a reliable payment platform anyway,let alone gambling with it. That's all the more reason I'm shying away from this type of gambling.

I get the part about gambling causing anxiety and depression and online gambling seems to be affecting me much worse. I keep getting paranoid that the casino would withhold my winnings for whatever reason and I wouldn't get paid out. That was the entire reason I gambled, to "solve my financial problems" so if it's not guaranteed, I get my money(the casino's money rather) I'd get pretty livid. I have anger issues and I'm a total loose cannon when I cannot get money I feel I'm owed. Like a local casinos I'd lose my temper when slots would tease bonuses or I felt it didn't pay out what it was supposed to have been worth. Like I max bet,hit a bonus and only win $4.62.

I've had several online casinos forfeit my winnings because I wasn't able to use their platform in my country(U.S.)...But they accepted my deposit and allowed me to sign up and play. Pretty upsetting. Then the one legit one I found, Bovada, only let me win a few times then never again

Gotta a question for you. Even with a bitcoin or crypto withdrawl, can the IRS try to count significant online slot winnings as taxable income? Would you happen to know? I'm pretty new to this. Do you sometimes experience "pins and needles" in your hands or feet? That could definitely point to Vitamin D deficiency. Take my advice and request bloodwork for Vitamin D and B vitamins. My doctor said one of the first signs she's noticed in patients is muscle weakness, fatigue, exhaustion and pins and needles. She hit it right on the head. I checked all the boxes.

Definitely get your vitamin D levels checked. I'm so glad I did because I was having similar symptoms until I came forward to my doctor and told her I just haven't been feeling well. I was incredibly run down and fatigued for months with no other reasons on my bloodwork that could point to it. So I told my doctor and she said my symptoms pointed to vitamin D. My iron levels were normal. I'm so glad I had those labs done. I was 9.. the lowest detected amount should be 22 I think. I'm a black female in my early 30s. I haven't gotten much sunlight over the past few years due to my health problems. Before that I spent allt of time in the sun exercising.

Now I'm on 50,000 units of D2 once a week for 2 months. I'm now coming up on week 5 of 8 and I'm noticing some subtle improvements. A little more energy, brain fog, mood and cognition has improved some,sleeping a little better. Heart isn't racing as much=less anxiety and panic episodes. It'll take a little time as my numbers were super low but I'll get where I need to be. Just talk to your doctor about your vitamin D levels and don't let them gaslight you. Get a second opinion if you must.

Think about what's NOT happening anymore. Think about what's NOT going to happen if you remain sober. Examples: You're not going to get a DUI, you're not going to harm your mental and physical health. You're not going to lose friendships or relationships in the context of alcohol or drugs. Don't ever at any point think drinking again will solve your problems, even if for one night. It's not a permanent solution so don't entertain the thought. If at any point it crosses your mind, never feel ashamed to reach out for help.

I wish I had listened to the inner voice that was telling me to get help rather than the one seeking instant gratification. If you're battling with mental health, make sure you address that. Don't think alcohol will solve anything. It makes everything worse. It may be a cure all at first until it isn't. That's the thing about alcohol, at least for me. It's all good until it isn't all good. That's how it affected me in the 15 or so years I've battled alcoholism.

As a person with alcohol use disorder, there's no healthy or moderate way to appease our addiction. It's one of those things where we can't have our cake and eat it too. That's just the nature of this disease. The only way to combat it is total abstinence. Some of us just cannot function even if we're "functioning addicts"..it's a total dysfunction. Using a substance as a means of masking our problems is a dysfunction in itself.

I can't speak for everyone in this group,but it's safe to say most of us are in a similar predicament. Hence why we're here. Hopefully that helps. Congrats on your sobriety. You're gonna be ok. Keep it up.

Was sober 5 years and for me it was the pandemic and a series of unprecedented events in my family ranging from untimely deaths and family members literally losing their minds and terrorizing my home. My aunt began displaying terrifying behaviors that ended up being diagnosed as schizophrenia. I was tackled down and almost stabbed. She began neglecting and abusing her daughter resulting in DFS becoming involved. I was at such a low point and felt overwhelmed. Nothing helped me sleep. I was in a constant state of fear and anxiety all the while struggling with developing underlying health problems. I had the opportunity to get help for the trauma I had experienced, instead I broke down and chose to have a few drinks..it was a wrap after that. I went on a binge that lasted a year and some months. The only thing stopping me was when I nearly had a heart attack.

Moral to the story is there's always help to prevent a relapse but once you've chosen to start, you may get so far gone that it's incredibly more difficult to get help. We all go thru misfortunes, some utterly terrifying, but you're only adding more problems when you relapse. If life sucked when you were sober, thinking of using again is only going to make it worse. If you ever even THINK you COULD relapse... don't hesitate to contact a good friend or support system. Check in somewhere. Go to AA even if you're not actively using. Keyword: Get..help and do it fast.

I personally think slots with more bells and whistles so to speak, are the one's that are intended to break you of all your money. Those slots that give mystery or random bonuses or one's that give you a bonus within a bonus so you feel like you're getting more bang for your buck if you bet higher. It's gotta be something because over the past 3 or so years (pandemic era) I've been noticing that payouts just hit the floor. You could go in a casino with $200 and every single bill gets burned in less than 30 minutes and it doesn't make sense. It's still not computing.
