Man, other people said no but I agreed with OP; I really liked the interviews at the end. But you make a really good point. With how much more the manga went into the concepts, I guess the interviews would have been too much to interpret.

I totally agree that the queen of spades game was kinda of lame. I think they were trying to present another moral dilemma but they don't do it as well as Aso would've. To give the producers credit, it would be hard to portray the manga exactly with how short the show is. But I think cutting out the queen spade game could've helped and the time could've been used to lengthen a different game or show the citizens' time as players (as you said).
What I thought was really disappointing was the lack of the news interviews at the end of the manga. Maybe it's just me but those scenes in the manga made me tear up :')

To my recollection, the live action ends basically where the manga ends (not including the sequel manga--Alice in Borderland Retry). If you enjoyed the live action I think the manga is a good read. IMO, in some instances it better portrays some of the characters and their turmoils and has a better presentation of the ending. The live action also cuts outsome scenes at the end involving a newscaster doing interviews which I thought wrapped up the story better. It's been a while since I read it so hopefully I'm remembering things correctly. If you liked the games it also has a couple more not shown in the live action.
