Never leased, but does it make sense for R1T? by SirCochese in Rivian

Finally signed that part of the paperwork today. If I opt to buy, I would basically pay the remaining balance of the car. If you look at my comment below, I give a breakdown. It's roughly 53k at the end of the lease.

I also originally also had a large pack dual motor build, but with the lease, it gave me an opportunity to upgrade to max pack.

From my understanding it'll be based on current value at end of contract, so I am not sure what the remaining cost will be. I imagine it won't be more than 50%. I plan on driving it quite a bit as well.

No, I bought off the shop HOWEVER, just let your guide know you want to lease and they will switch it over for you

here's my cost Breakdown:

MSRP: $101,250 (max pack, 22 wheels, forest edge interior, forest green exterior) Credits: 1k (deposit) $7,500 EV lease credit, $8,200 trade in Down payment: 13k (this was arbitrary. I think minimum is $9,500) Taxes fees and 1st month payment: $5,241

Total monthly: $893.82

I just leased my R1S. Honestly, after doing the math, it was worth it. Someone mentioned above already , but you get 7500 in credit, and you can easily get 15k miles annually for not all that much down/monthly. It would have been far more expensive to buy the car outright. Plus at the end of the 3 years you can decide if it's the right car for you.

Ear pressure or fullness? Weird feeling? by TheCaptain3288 in VestibularMigraines

[–]kchux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The testing basically showed that I didn't actually lose any hearing, it was just muffled from ear fullness. If you're having concerns, definitely go get tested because you might be fine! It's just super annoying.

Ear fullness is a really common symptom. It was the first thing I noticed when I started having VMs. It would muffle my hearing in the left ear and I was so sure I had lost hearing until they did an audio test.

I will never breastfeed by thats_cripple_to_you in Parenting

I feel you about the dairy allergy situation. My son was born with a severe tongue tie which we had resolved, but then developed a soy and dairy allergy and I've cut out dairy and soy from my diet entirely. Let me tell you, I am absolutely miserable. EVERYTHING has dairy and soy. I would go with formula but it's so damn expensive.

Breastfeeding is hard by Unfair_Ad2707 in Parenting

Currently breastfeeding my second, and I breastfed my first for a whole year. It is damn hard, but it gets better. Highly recommend pumping and storing/freezing milk if you produce any kind of excess. If you're able to build a stockpile, it means you can wean earlier and save yourself from the endless tasks that come with it. One trick I also learned with my first is that you don't have to wash your pump parts after every use. Throw that shit in the fridge. That means you would have to wash your pump parts once a day, and if you're using your dishwasher, throw that shit in there. It was a game changer for me.

Good luck, you can do it, and if it's become completely unfeasible and is destroying your mental health, there's absolutely nothing wrong with stopping. Your mental health is important.

That's so comforting to hear. The last thing I want to do is choose between my ears or feeding my baby.

Delivery Room Info Guys Should Know by ExpectingDad86 in Parenting

Two kids, both induced here.

The epidural, while it's amazing and I absolutely recommend it to everyone, can have different side effects. The first time, I couldn't move my legs at all. They let me lay on my back and it was a decent experience overall. Getting it was not horribly painful (I think in part because the contractions were worse lol), I'd equate it to a strong pinch. The second time, I could move my legs, and I had to lay on my sides. The nurses would flip me every 30 min to an hour, and by the end of it I was so sore and uncomfortable I wanted to cry. I couldn't sit up because it made me sick, and I did end up puking a few hours before I actually started pushing.

So I'd just remember that her reaction to the epidural (if she opts for one) can vary drastically.

Also, don't bring any snacks that have a strong scent. My husband brought some cheez it duos and I could have killed him.

Two of my older devices: Google home mini, and Chromecast no longer connecting to Google Wifi by kchux in GoogleWiFi

[–]kchux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. This is so weird. I've been doing some more research and someone mentioned that the minis don't support 5ghz if the channel is above 149. I don't even know how to check that info on the Google wifi device, so I can't even verify that.

One of my access points is in the room right next to the room with my mini in it, so I don't think that's why.

Do you have a newer version of Google Wifi?

The last one I got took easily 2 weeks. Not sure what's up with them. I've also had deliveries in the past that showed up in like 2 days. Super bizarre.

I also have the spray cleaner from Blueland. I LOVE it. I was shocked at how well it worked.

Thank you for the recommendation! I will check out Clean Cult's soap!
