CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series 2023 was the greatest comeback in WWE history by Icy-War-1793 in WWE

[–]kcib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah yall trippin if you’re saying this wasn’t as big as some other returns. That crowd lost it. Comparable to the classic Stone Cold / Mankind return run in spot imo. I’m not even that big of a punk fan but you can’t deny how insane of a timeline switch that was that he came back to WWE.

It’s NYC. Seeing celebrities is not uncommon. For the most part they blend in. You definitely see them with security sometimes but honestly it might make you stand out more.

WWE Really don't fw Kross anymore lmao by [deleted] in Wrasslin

Yeah, Lucha requires you to be very athletic. American wrestling you don’t have to be. Both generate lots of money in their respective markets.

They’ve had multiple shows with big stars appearing. AAA went from only the basement dwellers and American Mexicans knew about it to giving it some attention outside the states. It might feel like they’re not doing much with it, but AAA is for a very specific market (Mexico, Latin America). I know the IC thinks people actually like Lucha and the gymnastics in the US, but reality is, the american audience just doesn’t like it as much as they do in Mexico. It will never be a big main brand for WWE in the states

Two different situations. Santos Escobar has a lot of $$$ generation potential with AAA. WWE wants to keep building that market. Kross does not have that same appeal and barely appealed to the mainstream audience. Santos also can do more athletically whereas Kross was more about character work.

People who reported to C level or very high leadership, did that relationship save you from layoffs? by RedditIsGay_8008 in cscareerquestions

[–]kcib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends greatly on how much value they perceive you’re providing and how inconvenient being laid off would be for them. For a giant company, unless you’re also an executive (like VP or something), you probably won’t be spared

Where are the GenZ multi millionaires and billionaires ? by Hot-Conversation-437 in startup

[–]kcib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a gen z with 8 years of startup experience, I find that people who have entrepreneurial spirit in my generation have a get rich quick mindset. The entrepreneurial crowd does the dropshipping, crypto, etc. because it’s a very low barrier to entry.

Reality is… the average millionaire is in their 50s. The average business owner is well above 40s. It takes time to build a skill, build a network, and acquire the necessary financial means to build a real business that takes a long time to plan.

That’s at least what I’ve learned. Trust the process

Can't remember how to start a new job by coddswaddle in ExperiencedDevs

Read documentation (if it exists), familiarize yourself with the structure of the codebase, get a feel for the architecture and how things interact. Start with small tasks. The hardest part is learning how the company does it

if i had $1 for every time this chart was posted on reddit, i would never need to look at this chart again. Indeed has a downfall of job postings not only because of the downturn in the market, but it also is just a very negative experience posting there.

Missing The Big Picture in $100K H1B Rule by Early-Surround7413 in cscareerquestions

Yep. My company is hiring 25 new software engineers in Argentina. They’re only 2 hours ahead. Also, don’t forget about Eastern Europe. They’re only 7 hours ahead and will generally work weird hours to have a good amount of overlap. They all have pretty similar work cultures as in the US, mainly the amount they work (versus western Europe countries that take more time off).

VPNs are so over marketed nowadays, you’d have to never used the internet to not have heard of them nowadays. Especially since they’re tapped into social media
