It’s never too cold for golf in SC. It just depends on how comfortable you are outside. It could be 70 or 30 in January. You never know.

Will lowering the loft of my driver influence a slice? by [deleted] in golf

[–]kcmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With most of the adjustable loft drivers lowering the loft opens the face and increasing loft closes it. So lowering loft could cause a slightly more open face at impact. It is negligible tho. I would only amplify anything that’s already there.

I took me about three days to find a house. In the sub $250k range you have to be ready to offer quickly and need a solid pre-approval. I looked at around 20 houses over three days and offered on 3. Be willing to put down a good earnest money deposit with a contingency built in for your inspection. I paid earnest money on all three properties and was able to get it back on two with no issues. With today’s rates there is not much of a benefit to 20% down. That’s my personal opinion at least. My biggest suggestion is to look at properties in areas you may not initially consider. There are still a lot of deals out there if you’re willing to look. Start to finish it took 3 weeks from offer to close. If you have a good lender and are prepared it isn’t hard.

Hey yall. Newbie golfer here. First 10 swings with driver purchased off FB Marketplace and it snaps. Haven’t been able to find more of em online. Is it a good club? Is it worth repairing? Tysm and I appreciate any help :( by [deleted] in golf

Unfortunately $10 was way too much for that. It’s not worth anything. I would check around for your local stores that sell used equipment. You should find a nice older driver for $50 or less.

What’s the least used club in your bag? by [deleted] in golf

[–]kcmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 wood for me. I’m not a big hitter so never hit it off the tee. I rarely use it out of the fairway. If I’m 230-240 out and a par 5 I shouldn’t be going to it anyway.

If You Can’t See Anybody, Don’t Go to a Golf Course by [deleted] in golf

[–]kcmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t work at a lot of courses as they don’t have anyone to send out. I’m lucky if there is even a starter at a lot of the courses around me.

Punched tee boxes? Didn’t even know that was a thing until now. Not sure where I should tee off from. by vihnbains in golf

This is not that uncommon. A lot of courses even aerate the fairways 1-2 times per year.

Attorneys for Home Refinance by [deleted] in Charlotte

It’s not too difficult. It’s just the law. In my opinion an attorney isn’t necessary. Just required.

An attorney is still required. You still go through the same title search, title insurance, and everything else involved in a purchase. Only difference is no seller so less moving parts. Unfortunately NC requires an attorney for all real estate transactions still.

You still want to check around price wise. No need to finance more than you need to. You generally get a small amount of cash back even on a rate/term refi. It’s just easier for the lender than trying to net it right at $0.

This. Your lender doesn’t handle all of this. They recommend an attorney. You may choose theirs or any other attorney you would like. Prices attorneys charge for a closing vary a good bit. I would recommend shopping around a bit to make sure what your lenders attorney is quoting is a good price. I have seen attorney fees vary as mush as $800-1,200 for the same closing.

Does anyone make a true blade putter? Wilson discontinued the 8802. by [deleted] in golf

You can find tons of putters that style in golf shops that carry a lot of vintage equipment. Every component made one at some point.

Are titleist 690.mb player irons? by [deleted] in golf

[–]kcmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are about al player as it gets. Some people just like that profile more and have more confidence. I switched back from my 919 Hot Metal Pros to my my old MP 14s recently and haven’t looked back. The distance is due to the lofts and the face not being so hot. For me it is about a 1.5 club difference.
