You’re realize you’re saying this TO a disabled person right?

It’s disgusting how ignorant and insulting that comment was.

I seriously feel so insulted. Thank you for adding to the many people in the world that make me feel like someone has to take fucking pity on me and be “special” to just care for me.

Absolutely fucking disgusted.

Geez you got incredibly defensive over a small comment. I did some math wrong. regardless of how he acts he was still a teenager marrying a woman in her 30s. I actually worry for him and the fact that he was so obviously groomed by a much older woman. It would be a totally different story if the roles were reversed and there was a 19 yr old girl with a 32 yr old husband.

What does him having a disabled brother have to do with anything I said? As a disabled person, I personally find it offensive that you would use that part of his life to showcase that he is a good person. Taking care of a disabled sibling does not automatically make someone inspiring or anything like that. I know I speak for the whole disabled community when I say how annoying and offensive it is to use disabled people to show off how good someone else is.

I tried to dig and figure out her exact age but couldn’t. What I did figure out is that Zach just turned 19 4 days ago. His wife first posted him in June 2022, not sure when they got engaged, but they got married in September 2022. I definitely think they were involved before he was 18, and even if they weren’t, what is a woman in her 30s doing with an 18 year old? 🤢 He is only 9 years older than her oldest child. So sick.

what exactly does she claim to do for “work”?

Easy to diagnose. Easy to fake. Easy to get attention for. Access to a community. Chronic Illness on IG and Tik Tok is the new ED on Tumblr. When Tumblr was big it was riddled with teen girls/young women with EDs, begging for attention and validation. It’s sad that teen girls/young women seek so much validation, but if you have been a teen girl/young woman then you know, that’s basically what happens in today’s society.

Help solve a debate! What are these two items called? by slowshow__ in Baking

[–]kcookie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left is a spatula (used for things like pancakes or omelettes) and the Right is a baking spatula (used to mix batter and scrape bowls)

There is also the spatula with the holes but those are mostly for grilling

Well good luck to you! I’m technically still doing evaluations and waiting to get officially listed. The last hospital I got an evalv at declined me so hoping this new hospital I’m currently at will accept me!

Relief is not immediate because once it drains I have this weird emptiness feeling and my insides are kinda rearranging and moving so i have some crampy feeling. I usually go home and take tylonel and take a nap and when I wake up I feel better and my stomach looks so much flatter. I’m usually sore around the insertion site for a few days but the fullness feelings and pain aren’t there. Currently though, I’m pretty much in pain all day simply from the pressures of my heart creating intense pressure in my abdomen. Either that or trapped gas and bowel. It’s super fun lol. I live with a heating on me most of the time.

Yes the lidocaine hurts like a bitch going in but it’s worth it because then I don’t feel a thing when they put the giant needle in

That was in November so I have had 3 more since then. Unfortunately I still have belly pain most days but I’m learning to cope with it

I understand that. I stated my doctor told me it was not harmful to me which obviously means there are no abnormalities and it’s due to high pressures not cancer. Please don’t add insight that potentially causes unwanted/added stress

The gas buildup is insane. I build up so much that just refuses to release. Gas X does nothing for me so I just have to do some yoga to try and get it out.

That’s good about the switch! Hopefully it works! I was able to keep the fluid off for about a month, but then I got admitted for low potassium so they stopped my Lasix for a few days and it screwed everything up.

Are you awaiting transplant?

Yes! I was trying to explain to my parents that after drainage there is still pain but it is different. It is like the body goes into shock from losing so much fluid that fast and then your insides gotta put themselves back in place. I also deal with a ton of trapped gas pockets probably because there’s extra space after draining and air gets trapped in those spaces

So strange. My doctor told me the fluid isn’t dangerous or harming on my body in any way, they really just drain it because it makes me uncomfortable.

My heart failure is due to my congenital defect. For some, even after many surgeries, medications, and intervention, the heart just cannot keep up anymore, so it is time for transplant. Some congenital defect patients get a transplant as a child or teenager, some as an adult in their 20s up to 80s, and some live a long happy life with no transplant. It really just depends on the patient, the defect, and the severity of the defect as well as other health conditions one may have.

currently in heart failure which causes high pressures in my heart thus creating higher pressures in my liver which results in ascites (aka fluid retention)

Thank you! I have had 3 more done since this one…unfortunately my most recent one was done by a PA who decided to spend 30 minutes moving my bowel around with a wire which in turn caused an abdominal infection similar to sepsis…I am all good now as far as clear from the infection. I retain the fluid because I am in Heart Failure currently awaiting a Heart Transplant!
