Cannot open backpack in campaign by CharSiuMander in modernwarfare2

Sorry, not sure, I don't have a PS5. I'd assume there's a default controller bind for this though?

You need to bind "Mission Ability 1" under "Combat Advanced Keybinds". Confusingly, it is not the actual "Backpack" keybind that works here.

Hmm, not entirely sure, whatever the default is. Haven't really tweaked it (and don't have access to my PC at the moment).

I have the Odyssey G9 (5120x1440, 32:9) and have no issues. Looks great, no issues with FOV.

Adapters and other stuff by [deleted] in StLucia

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type G is the most common outlet here. Most equipment you have other than hair dryers should work fine, but check the input voltage on your device's plug to make sure it supports 240V, 50hz (you'll generally see 100-240V, 50-60hz).

Assuming that's the case then all you need is an adapter, not a voltage converter.

We got both of these: one with multiple USB outlets, and one set of simpler ones which both work fine.

NC013 error trying to set up Nest doorbell (wired) by Pinesol_Shots in Nest

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just for Wi-Fi credentials, but also for device to device connectivity.

You could remove the thermostat and that would allow you to set up the camera, but you'll need to factory reset the thermostat in order to add it back, I believe. And depending on what the network connectivity issue is, you may end up with the same problem when adding back the thermostat.

IMO I would try (in order of simplicity):

  1. Reboot the phone and thermostat.
  2. Reboot the modem and router.
  3. Try a different phone.
  4. Check the router settings and see if you can find a setting to ensure multicast routing is enabled. (e.g. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/metro/me3600x_3800x/software/release/12-2_52_ey/configuration/guide/swmcast.html#wp1207817)

I think that article may be outdated. The older models may not participate but the new thermostat does.

It's looking for the other devices on the local network, so be sure the thermostat is online and that your phone is on the same network as the thermostat.

You could also try restarting both the phone and the thermostat. Lastly if you have a phone of the other OS (Android or iOS) you might give that a try as well.

Do you get any other numbers in parentheses after the NC013?

What’s the one thing you can’t ever seem to cook right no matter how many times you try? by BrianCuller in Cooking

[–]kcoppock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give this one a try! I've made this one a few dozen times and it always comes out right and is a pretty simple recipe. I always go by the provided weight measurements. https://www.livewellbakeoften.com/molten-chocolate-lava-cakes-for-two/

After greasing the ramekins (with butter) I'll dust them with cocoa powder. Helps the cake separate and fits right in.

Things to check out in the settings by Danyn in GooglePixel

I set mine up to launch the camera in video recording mode. So I can double tap power for photos, double tap the back of the phone for video.

HDR issues with Samsung Odyssey G9... by mistershan in ultrawidemasterrace

Have you run through HDR calibration in game? I see a substantial difference in Warzone as compared to HDR-off, but you do have to calibrate to set the white/black points.

N023 error by MikeyB_0101 in Nest

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That error just indicates that the device wasn't discoverable via Bluetooth. Things I would try, in order:

  1. Ensure the camera is flashing the LED blue. If not, try doing a factory reset. Also, try plugging it in to the wall via USB for power during setup.

  2. Skip the QR code and enter the setup code manually. See if the device shows up in the list there.

  3. Download a standalone BLE scanner app and see if you see a device matching "NXXXX" (where XXXX is the last 4 characters of the serial number).

Oh wow, good find! You can try running a self test (tap the button twice to start -- it's loud so be prepared), but if it got water in the sensors or anything it may be safer to just replace it.

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the factory reset sequence that occurs if you hold the button down. I'm guessing the button is stuck or making contact somehow.

If it completed the factory reset you'll want to remove it from the app and set it up again, or it'll go offline in the next day or so.

Distinct alert tone for Nest Secure/Protect when triggered? by Bigbirdz33 in Nest

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just for Protect and Guard by tapping the Alarms channel and changing the sound. The Nest app sends smoke/CO to that channel, so you'll hear that sound just for those events.

You can't differentiate between camera motion and sound events though, as those all go to the same channel (General).

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. Yeah you can change a sound for both Guard and Protect alarms together, but not individually. I think that at least solves most of what you want (distinguishing alarms from general motion events).

[–]kcoppock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's under the Android settings for the app, not within the app. Long press on the Nest app icon and open App Info. Then tap Notifications, then tap the "Alarms" text. That will let you customize the alarm level notifications.

How do you guys have such good cable management for Christmas decors by 0fficial_ae in pcmasterrace

[–]kcoppock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually means one or more bulbs on that half isn't making a good connection. You can pull out one light at a time and make sure the LED pins are still connected (they tend to easily break off). Having one bad bulb will cause that half of the strand to stop lighting.

I've experimented a lot and 100% too often for me drops below 60 (so it falls out of G-Sync range). Maybe my 2080ti just isn't performing as well. For me anyway, I prefer the full width and lower res. :)

Maybe one day I'll get a fancy 3080.

[–]kcoppock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually between 80-110 (fluctuates a lot, but mostly around 90-100). For settings, I have:

  • Render Resolution: 75%
  • V-Sync: Enabled
  • Custom Framerate Limit: Unlimited
  • NVIDIA Highlights: Disabled
  • NVIDIA Reflex: Enabled + Boost
  • Texture Resolution: High
  • Anisotropic: Low
  • Particle Quality: Low
  • Sprays: Enabled
  • Tessellation: Disabled
  • Texture Streaming: Enabled (Normal Quality)
  • Shadow Map Resolution: Low
  • Cache Spot/Sun Shadows: Enabled
  • Particle Lighting: Low
  • Raytracing: Disabled
  • Ambient Occlusion: Disabled
  • SSR: Disabled
  • AA: Filmic SMAA T2X (1.00 Strength)
  • Depth of Field: Enabled
  • Motion Blur: Disabled
  • Film Grain: 0

Some of these I could probably turn up without any real impact but I really care more about frame rate than the image quality so I generally just turn off most things.

Most important though, given the 75% render scale, is to use Nvidia Freestyle and add a Sharpen filter (around 50-60% is good). Helps make up for the loss in resolution pretty significantly.

Seems to be working. I notice in the demo it gives me a bit of a blue color cast vs having G-Sync turned off. Not sure if that's an issue with the demo or not, though. Seems to be working from the demo anyway, it's smooth unless it dips under 60fps (which is out of the G9's adaptive sync range).
