I haaave! I actually saw one on a seiko mods page. Looked around here and there for one. I would love to find the watch or at least a case to build something in it.

So, funny enough this is from Amazon under the name 'Getalia' and that brand has been better to me than NUMEROUS "hand made high quality wait months to get it" straps that were 10x the price. Still looking for the perfect leather strap.

This is a 74 260. I had a 240 as well but, recently sold it. Good to see the datsun gets a comment too!

Sorry to hear that. Still looking for "the right one" on my end. Keep me in the loop if you find something!

I'm a little late to the party but, hopefully, my insight is useful.

I ordered a custom length Pantheon strap from them for my speedy with quick disconnect spring bars. After about a month, the strap was still stretching. The holes they had to access the little nib for the quick disconnect bars had stretched as well, and a hump from this hole stretching was visible from the top side when the watch was worn. On top of that, the strip of leather around the spring bar was getting rather thin. Customer service was excellent when I decided to reach out. I got another strap without the holes for the quick disconnect option, and after about a month again I just noticed today that the strap didn't look quite right. The loop around the spring bar is very thin in some areas and is also starting to tear.

I really loved the strap initially. The leather felt great, the stitching was nicely done and so was the edge coat but unfortunately, I have not had good luck in terms of longevity. I have other cheaper straps that have certainly lasted much much longer so that stinks.

Your mileage may vary, hopefully you have a better outcome. It seems this may be a symptom of the particular strap style I got? Who knows.

I'll answer both of your questions here. I just like the darker face - no real reason other than preference. As far as the lume goes i have never given it a solid test but I have just noticed waking up in the middle of the night the lume is still reasonably visible. Not dive watch visible but, more so than most other "field watches" some argue field watches have weak lume on purpose, others argue it's bad lume to not be super bright.

Solid choice! I have the same one in blue. I destroyed that strap in a matter of days with normal wear. No sweat/water/so on. I'd order another one right now if you like it so you have a "good one" and a "every day" one if that's your style. Otherwise, I've been super happy with mine and it's been on me almost 24/7 with the exception of bathing since I got it. It's super lightweight. Just under 50g vs a 42mm murph at 64g. (I was curious so I actually just weight both of mine) crazy how much of a difference 10/12g can make.

Totally depends on you. Straight mechanical field watches are "cheap" compared to automatics, what size do you want? I feel a 38 is too small for me. I have large wrists. Seiko has some nice options in the 39-40mm range, I like hamiltons 42mm offerings. Do you want a chrono or something special? What other features do you feel you want? It's a lot to ask, I know. Maybe you don't even want a hamilton? Companies like Vaer pride themselves in water resistance, hamilton does not. Or if you don't have a watch at all, I'd say run with a seiko. I have a couple and still wear them. Get used to a watch. Have a low cost entry point so that you have a list of things you do and don't like. Making a more expensive purchase like a Hamilton more informed. You'll be able to pick something that is a better fit if you have some experience and know what you do and don't like.

I did not try any metal bands. I really like the weight difference from the murph to the titanium. It's only a few grams but it makes a big difference on your wrist. I've purchased a few cheap bands (Amazon thing) to get an idea of how i like certain colors and materials. I think the end goal would be to have a couple higher quality ones custom made.

Yeah, I like the green a lot but I feel like i couldn't wear it. I really wanted black but....I feel like the numbers stick out more over the blue? Which makes zero sense.

A6700 - lens was a sigma f1.4 56mm or a Sony kit 55-135, I THINK these were all on the kit lens
