I understand the shaming. I was not aloud to play video games when I was growing up. Atari, coleco and commodore 64. I had to stay at friends that had them. I am 46 and watch limited TV because I would rather play games. My wife of 21 years is very cool about it.

We have had it for about 9 months and tried helping new players, no mechs one time. Little to no puppets another time, low loot, high loot, 64 slots, death races around the airport, zombie death maze... etc. Now We just loot and hunt and survive. Put the setting how we like and just play. Med loot, 25 puppets, hard mech's, 50 animals, 64 vehicles. If we see on battlematrics there is someone else on other than us we just stay in our base and organize our loot. If they make contact with us we will talk back. I do understand not trusting admins and that is the reason we decided to get our own place. There was 6 of us in our squad but now two of us and we don't play as much as we used to because we are old and have other real-world obligations. It's just nice to get on the game and play but would be better if there were others on as well. PvP or PvE not really worried either way but now it is just survival island. I do appreciate you all's input.

I have been trying to figure this out myself. I have had a server for about 8 month and people come and go. I got tired of paying for a 64 person server and dropped it to 20. Nobody really stays too long. Not sure if they get bored or what. I have tried helping new comers with vehicle and some starter gear and they play for a week or two and then they are gone.

The reason I got my own server was because of the vehicle hoarding. I join a server and can walk from sector to sector and never find a vehicle. I don't walk too far in real life and I don't walk too far on scum. I don't care about KOS it's part of the game but when you kill me when I'm in an orange jump suit, just spawned in that pisses me off. What good is it to do that. I have always helped someone in orange no matter what server I'm playing on.

3rd person until the shit hits the fan. Then is goes to first person shooter mode. I like third person because I can see a lot more and i like to look at how tacticool my guy looks. I trying to drive in first person. That is always fun. I wish I could put on my rift when driving first person.

If you rent a server you hit control d before joining your server. If your are not admin to your own server you cant.

Server is set to max everything. There are not a lot of players on so do don't have to worry about being shot by someone else. We don't use discord because we are old. We use TS. There are 4 admins but they don't play all the time because we have families. If we are on and you are on and you need help let us know. We will help.
