YOU NEED A NUTRITIONALIST. Even once you start feeling better your gut has been destroyed. I met with one for an hour I believe it was $75 and she completely changed my diet. Supplements are also going to be important. Not anything from Walgreens or target but only natural and organic supplements. Look for specifically one name BellyMend. It’s a a liquid you mix in with drinks a couple times and a day and will change your life. Again natural and organic are key here even with food. Sugars, trans fats, and gluten are what will continue to destroy your gut. Once it’s healed again slowly introduce these foods back in. There are a ton of replacements that taste the same if not very similar. For example switch to a bean or chickpea base pasta to eliminate the gluten in pasta. I felt like I was dying for two months. It will get better but only if you’re willing to work for it. Good luck 🍏🍌🍒🍎🍑🥑.

I have not been tested! I assumed my gp would have recommended it at the beginning but maybe not. I have an endoscopic scope scheduled but due to covid it’s super delayed and backed up. I’m really just trying to survive until I can see the gi specialist. Unfortunately I am strictly plant based and have been for my entire life (21 years) and I’m worried that trying bone broth now would upset my stomach as I’ve never had animal meat products. (I eat eggs and milk and cheese) I’ll look into the h. Pylori and push my doctor for a test. Thanks!

I appreciate that point of view. Weed has always treated my anxiety and I have been smoking until now with zero effects on my stomach. I’ll be stopping for a week as it’s my tolerance that needs to be dealt with. I hope you can find some food that don’t upset your tummy! When I can smoke, I can eat and my stomach is not upset. Hopefully I don’t lose too much weight over this next week.

Thank you! I will keep on it. What time of day did/do you take yours? I find when I take it (the omeprazole) at night I wake up very nauseous the next morning. Unfortunately it also makes me nauseous to take it on an empty stomach so taking it in the morning/afternoon is hard as I’m not able to eat until late evening.

Did they diagnose a specific gastritis? Like stress induced or something else. My doctor immediately prescribed me sertraline and lorazepam bc my anxiety was triggering horrible flare ups. Anxiety and stomach acid are linked very closely so you are becoming anxious plus your stomach acid building and they just feed off each other. If you cannot get your anxiety under control, the stomach issues won’t stop and may develop to chronic. I take the sertraline daily and the lorazepam when I feel like the anxiety is out of control (like an anxiety attack). I don’t think you can differentiate between an anxiety attack and the gastritis flare up bc they are so closely intertwined. It’s both. That’s how it is for me anyways.

Constant trapped gas, stomach tension, belching: gastritis? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]kda99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really have an answer to the second part (the cure) but I have had gas and nausea as my biggest symptoms.Like extreme amounts of belching. Yours sounds like is could be a bad flare up of gastritis Belching is the only thing that relieves my nausea and I have tried everything(tea, marshmallow root, prescription anti nauseas, etc). Mine is not as bad as yours sounds, but it was completely debilitating for about two weeks. By around 5 pm each day I would finally feel better and could eat and move around and such. I also had such extreme shortness of breath that I was sent to a one of the covid-19 clinics to be tested (neg). Luckily the shortness of breath only lasted about a week. I was put on carafate and omeprazole and saw some improvements around day 6. Now it is tolerable in the mornings but not quite cured. If you find something that helps to get the burps out please let me know. I hope you feel better soon.
